Need some magic band advice

Not sure what to do and I'm hoping someone can help me. Family and I are booked with a package starting on May 2. I have all our magic bands and fast passes booked etc. I made a. Room only reservation for May 1st. At a value since we r getting in around midnight. Our package is at Wilderness lodge. Anyway now I am getting emails from Disney to pick out magic bands and fast passes from the room only reservation. Do I need to get another set of bands for the one night do I make fast pass reservations on those bands too ? Not sure what to do. Hope someone here can help me. Thanks.

If you're doing a split stay they'll send 2 sets of bands, but you just need one..

Your fast pass choices aren't on the magic bands - they are in your MDE account. Everything is on your account and the magic band is just a way to access that information. You will get two sets of bands but it does not matter which one you use (as long as the one you use is connected to your account). You can make fast pass selections for May 1 if you are going into the parks. If you don't plan on going to a park then you don't need to make fastpass selections.

Go ahead and customize your second set of bands if you'd like them. Nothing is stored on the bands and all will work to read the information in your MDEx account (room access, park tickets, FP+s, etc.). We pick different colors with each set.

One more question. If our package. Starts on May 2nd do we have to have the bands activated at Wilderness Lodge or can they be activated at Pop so we can go right to a park and then check in at WL at 3:00. Does that make sense ? Thanks again.

If you want to collect a second set then go ahead and customize your bands. If you don't want a second set, just don't do anything and when you check in to POP, tell them you want to use your customized set and decline to accept the POP set. They will recycle them.

You should be able to go straight to the park and check in later but double check at POP as you head out to the parks.

Totally off topic, are you aware that the hotel will move your bags to your new hotel for you? You have to arrange it will Bell Services and there are limited hours in which you can drop off the bags for this service.
