My husband, Son (who turns 3 the day after we arrive) and myself are going to disney for the first time in September. It is only a short 4 day trip, but thats okay - I'll take what I can get.

I have planned for the first day lunch at the playhouse disney (I think thats what its called) at 2:15 lunch in MGM. (Sept 2nd) - I think the imagintion movers are also playing that day but I have no clue then -- thats why I picked this as our first day.

The second day I have Crystal Palace at MK for 4:50 supper (this is also a Pirate and princess day and I will be calling to get tickets)

Third day I have Coral Reef at 2:50 lunch at Epcot

and then the 4th day I was planning on going back to MK - but here is where my thoughts come into play. I really want to go to downtown disney - how much time should I expect to spend there looking around???
I know I want to go to the big town store there -- and also goofys candy shop (that downtown I believe)
We also have a 15$ voucher with our package for planet hollywood (do I need reservations for this??)
We have to leave the 4th day for a 6pm flight (so 3 hours early from POP by what I am told). That makes our day end really at 3pm ......

Also, we will be arriving the day before our "offical first day" and I need to find another resort to stay in. I called POP and tried to just get another day added on and they told me nothing was available, with or without the dining plan (which we have now) -- so I am stuck trying to find another hotel I guess, off site (to save money) and probably have to get something with shuttle so we can get back to the airport and then get back to POP the next morning (we are not renting anything) unless a cab would be cheaper and easier. Has anyone ever been in this situation before? this really is stressing me out at the moment.

I think as far as my restaurants, they will be a good fit, esp being our first time I wanted more character than anything for my son. And hopefully I can get some special attention to him being his birthday and all.

I have so many little questions it seems -- can anyone help me out and Im sure I will add more as I think of them.

THANKS
Kristie

My advise would be to do the MK for a day and a half and spend the other half of the 3rd day at Epcot after you fully saw what you wanted at the MK. There was this website somewhere :confused3 that rated rides with grades A through D and I would only do rides rated an A or B....then you are for sure only doing the really famous rides and not the less funner ones, since time is short. Just getting the A and B rated rides in will take a day and a half at the MK. The MK is the place to be for 3 years old!!! It is perfect, and the perfect age, I wouldn't miss the full experience there.

It would look like this:

Day 1 MGM
Day 2 MK
Day 3 MK, parkhop monorail to epcot for lunch and do like top few rides or attractions you wanted to see.
Day 4 Checkout, spend afternoon at DTD, and any other thing you saw that looked "fun to do".
