We (DW,DD 7yo, DS 3yo, myself) have a 4 night booked for Sept. 19th. Cat. 6. It will be our second cruise with Disney. Our previous was on the Wonder also. Dw and I have been contimplating converting our reservation to the 7 night eastern on the 18th, cat 9 o/v. A net increase of about $700 overall.

That being said, I am a little aprehensive about going on the 7 night for some reason. Thinking it will be too long and not enough activities to keep the kids busy and Mom and Dad for that matter.
We would be losing the verandah, but gaining 3 more nights.

Just need a little guidance from the DIS board pro's.
Thanks:D

We were just contemplating the same and are going with the 7 day. For the difference in price, you can't beat it.

We have done the 3 day and the 7 day and there is PLENTY to do on the 7 day - much more that isn't even offered on the 3 or 4 day cruises (we've now said that we won't even consider the 3 day with the kids because there isn't enough time that everyone can do what the want without some kind of conflict).
We prefer the deck 2 Cat 9 for the single, large window over the deck 1's twin, smaller portholes.

Only 700 to change..do it, do it, do it.

There is plenty to do..so much to do, we didn't have time to do it all. Enjoy!

You won't regret it! There is sooooooo much to do you will have to rebook in order to do the things that you did not find time to do!

But that's my opinion!LOL

Having done both, I would not hesitate to do 7 night Magic. Four days is great, but just not long enough...LOL! By the time you settle in and get relaxed, the vacation is over. The 7 night offers so much more to do for all, plus you get 2 ports - St Thomas and St. Marteen. St. Thomas is an absolutely beautiful island with lots of interesting things to do. We have done the Cat 9 on deck 2 and loved it - bath & half plus the huge porthole window the kiddos will really enjoy.

Happy decision!

Keep in mind that you'll be spending a lot more on tips, too, but I would definitely go for it!

I would go for it, if you don't, at the end of that 4 day you will have wished you did.
You will not run out of things to do. Way too much fun to be had.
Enjoy!!!!!!!

There are lots of activities for the kids, and if they love the Disney characters, they won't be bored at all.

As moinab pointed out, tips will be more, and you will end up spending more just because you are on the ship longer. Also, you will probably want to do some excursions on the days you are at the islands (which increase costs).

We have been on the 3, 4 and 7 day cruises and love them all, but the 7 day is extra special. The kids get closer to the people in the club/lab. As a family, you can relax more because you know you have several days to enjoy the ship (on our last 3 day cruise, the girls only got to go to the pool once---there was just not enough time to do everything we wanted to do).

BTW, my family will be on the September 18th Eastern 7 night cruise as well. There are 17 in our group and my twins will be turning 11 while onboard. We are excited! This cruise is stopping at Antigua and St. Thomas.

If it were me to decide, I would go for the 7 day. It is great! AND you get a character breakfast AND Tea wtih Wendy (if you get your tickets).
