I booked a split stay trip

2 days BWV
3 days free dining csr(paid in full now)
2 days POR with AP discount $100 a night paid the first night already

My problem, when i booked the trip i had funds and funds coming in that have since disappeared(thanks to someone not paying me last week), my trip is next week and I don't have as much money as I would like

I have tried to get the BWV days as free dining csr days..wasn't possible, hence the odd way of doing things. This means our tickets don't come until CSR. Ok will use them another trip.
I was going to renew both our pap, but hubby may not be having a 2nd trip in time next year. i am in jan and I need it for the por discount

we like hopping and we like DQ, we can live without the waterparks

here are ideas I have had to save money or make this trip a bit more affordable

I am considering switching either some(like the POR nights) or all of my trip to DVC points and staying at a DVC to save money this trip.

what penalty do I get on that CSR ressie and when would I see that money back?

what about the $100 deposit at POR if i cancel that when would I see that money back?

Is there a cheaper way to get hubby his ticket and be able to visit DQ?

I have PAP can i renew to AP and then just buy some type DQ ticket?

The DDE can't be used at most cs meals ...right? thought about going that way rather than the ddp, but that plan is pretty good with the taxes and gratuity on it. We don't have the "too much food syndrome" some folks have.

Open to ideas..need to be budget minded this trip.

I think the biggest problem you'll face with changing ressies this close to your trip will be availability. Changing the package part (CSR w/DDP)would probably be to costly to be worth it. The room only AP rate you can change up to 5 days prior to arrival without penalty as I recall. If you can use points and there is availability, it may be more cost effective to drop the POR ressie and stay DVC. I would call MS and see what they say.

Don't forget you get some discounts with your dvc member card. Disney Quest is one ($4 off ticket, not much but every dollar counts) Some restaurants have discounts with member card and some with AP. Member card is usually 20% (lunch only at some restaurants) AP usually 10%, again only some mealtimes depending on location.

Hope this helps a little. Good luck!

One thing hubby wanted to do was the adventurers club. is there a charge to enter that? If you buy a DQ ticket does that cover that or just the water parks and more option?

Disney quest ticket just gets you in at disney quest.
You have to do the math to decide if the PAP or AP is worth the cost for your husband. How many days will you do disney quest or PI?
If you don't have the cash, scaling back to make it the trip doable may be the better option for you. Hang at the resort pool areas.

The PI ticketing options are a seperate admission.

It'll take a couple of months for this credit to show up on your credit card. Given you'd be doing points on Fri/Sat night on cash AND you have the free dining, I would not change that segment if you can make it otherwise UNLESS you then plan to do most of your meals in the villa.

The main things you could really do for cash savings at this points is likely to change the last 2 days to a points stay if available. And depending on your ticket options you got with the free dining, you might be able to change that to just one night for each person.

The other potential savings I see are within what you have reserved already. Don't eat out while at BWV, use the kitchen facilities, or go for cheaper options. Since you will be at BW on the changeover day, go over EARLY and "check in" at CSR. That way you'll get your free dining and tickets and can start using them early, including for breakfast that day, ? danish at the BW bakery. And the free dining is good until midnight after checkout from CSR, so you could stretch it for 4 days. With 6 snacks, 6 CS meals and 6 TS meals, my wife and I could EASILY eat from B'fast day 1 of CSR to dinner day 4. Make sure your more expensive options are during that time including any special must have's like ice cream and deserts. You could even use snack credits to buy things for the next day at POR such as danish from the bakery.

Do DQ and PI using the DVC or other discounts on the days before your package tickets start. Assuming you only get one day each of tickets with the package, trade them for a 3 or 4 day MYW ticket without any add ons for your spouse since it sounds like you have a PAP pass. You'll lose park hopping, etc but it will be cheaper and should work out with some planning.

It sounds like you have an active PAP now, assuming that's true and that you don't currently have the DDE, I don't think it's worth going that route. If you already have it, it depends on how many in the group (it sounds like just the two of you) and where you are eating. If you have the DDE already, it still depends on your choices and group makeup as to what might be best.
