I will be there in spirit with you!

Our littlest one just went through this on May 28th.
I was a wreck, couldn't sleep the night before. The surgery itself is quick as a wink though, thank God. 40 minutes- it was over and they came to take me to recovery to be with her.
The feeling better part is what is tough.
Go to
Walmart and buy a "Rival" snow cone machine if you have a chance today. The one where you can throw regular ice cubes in it are best ($24.97). They have different flavor syrups too but we found that the root beer one was the best. You know how sometimes real fruity flavors kind of sting if you have a sore throat?
I am so glad I got one for her. She didn't want ice cream, pop sicles, slurpies. Those snoballs are what kept her hydrated for the first 6 days. Stock up on plain chicken noodle soup too.
I'll say a prayer for you both. You will get through this but I have to tell you it was a tough two weeks post op. Our doc says the younger they are , the quicker they recover. 4 is younger than almost 7. Your little one should bounce back faster and better.
