Hi, I live in N. CA and we have gone to DL twice a year since we moved here 3 years ago.

My kids (13, 11 and 9) and I will be visiting my parents over spring break in Ft. Lauderdale. My kids are big Harry Potter fans. I really want to take them to Universal. I would really appreciate if you could answer a few questions.

1. Should I rent a car or is there a train from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando?

2. Where should I stay? Onsite to take advantage of the line perk?

3. How many days do I need?

4. Anything else I should know?

Thanks so much!

1. I don't think there is a direct train but there are shuttles. http://www.floridasunshineshuttle.com/fort-lauderdale-to-orlando-bus.html

2. Since you are going in spring break and crowds will be large, I would definitely stay onsite.

3. Three days is lovely

4. You will have a ton of fun, but expect crowds to be large. Make sure you get up early to take advantage of the early entry as it makes a huge difference to do as much of the Harry Potter area as possible before the main crowds are let in.
