I just returned a few days ago (6/22) and purchased Pal Mickey. Pal Mickey seems to be available at ALL WDW Resort Hotels and theme parks; he costs $50 (that includes tax) and I feel that he is well worth the money. But, just be informed of this- the "demo" that you hear when you let him "talk" to you at the store is only a tiny amount of the things he actually says. The volume you hear him in stays the same and there is no adjustment. He is pretty much 10 inches tall, not a huge stuffed animal like I had expected. The belt clip that he comes with has worked for some people I talked to in the parks, but I found that its much easier to purchase a bottle strap from a park soda vendor for $3.25 and then he can just hang around your (or your child's) neck. I'd read about this idea on another post and when I bought my bottle strap many other people (including parents that weren't happy about carrying mickey around) saw it and I saw many others purchasing the bottle strap as well. THe bottle strap is convenient because 1-he wont fall off because it slips around his neck and you can tighten it; 2- you can hold him up to your ear to hear him and I could always hear him, even if it was really loud (like the queue lines in fantasy land).
As for the information he gives you, I've been to WDW more times than I could count and I still enjoyed him- especially in the Animal Kingdom(which I am not that familiar with). He gave us (my boyfriend and I) many useful tidbits of information and kept us amused in the lines. After I returned home I gave him to my 4 year old goddaughter and she absolutely adores him. Anyway, if you have any more questions about my Pal Mickey experience just ask!
