Need Opinions on Ohanas(dinner),50s diner,Brown Derby

I have planned to try 3 new restaurants this time: We already have plans for past favorites of Chef Mickeys, Whispering Canyon, Tonys Town Square, Le Cellier,but this time i want to add Ohanas for dinner, can someone describe this restaurant and its food? I am going with my 2 teen sons, who are always ready to try something new. Also, the MGM 50s diner, what is better, lunch or dinner? and what does everyone like there? Lastly, Brown Derby, I know the Cobb Salad is supposed to be great? Any thoughts on anything or other restaurant ideas, please advise, ONE WEEK TO GO!!!!!!!!

'Ohana is one of our absolute favorite WDW restaurants for dinner. We also very much like the 50's Prime Time for lunch. As to the Cobb salad, perhaps you meant the Hollywood Brown Derby? H&V is a character buffet.

'Ohana is absolutely fabulous! It's all you can eat and let me tell you I ate a LOT! And that was just the appetizers. My fiancee and I love love the wings they serve. I'm sure they have great desserts but we've never made it that far We went there last year, and on a Friday night. It was an unplanned "Out of the parks night" and after dinner, we explored the Polynesian, took the monorail to explore the Grand Floridian and finally the Contemporary where we did get some yummy chocolate candy. Somewhere along the way, it poured down rain, and we were so happy to watch the storm and be content with not being caught in the MK. Later that night after the rain, we did actually get to see some of the fireworks from across the lagoon. Definately give 'Ohana a try, and I hope your family likes it as much as mine did. I haven't been to the other two.

Ohana's is very good and I normally don't care for Polynesian type food. There is plenty of food so even if you're not a fan of one thing you're sure to find another that you will love. Don't forget to try the appetizers. The wontons and the wings were great! We didn't have room for dessert especially after the pineapple with caramel dipping sauce. Yum! We'll definitely go back to Ohana!

'Ohana's: I am not a big eater and if you like meat, which most teens do. This restaurant is a good choice. The food was very good. I felt overwhelmed by all the meat and a little uncomfortable after eating so much.

50's Prime Time Cafe: Food is very good at this restaurant. A lot like homecooking. This is also a great place for teens, servers are lot of fun and you might even get to stand in the corner. Especially if your a brother who likes to harass his sister. You'll pay!

Never eaten at the Brown Derby, it seems to get good write-up.

I used to enjoy the Cobb salad but a few years back the turkey in it changed to these tiny tasteless cubes....yuck. It took us a while to figure out that it was turkey. Doesn't look or taste like it!

We ate at The Brown Derby in December and loved all our meals.We always enjoy our meal at this MGM restaurant. Try a piece of the grapefruit cake for desert.

I love 'Ohana. It is my favorite restaurant at WDW. The appatizers and salads are good though they have changed them over the years so you may find something different by the time you get there. The shrimp are impressive though I don't eat them and the turkey is pretty good but the steak and pork are incredible. The atmosphere is wonderfully tropical.
I like 50's Prime time cafe too. The food has always been good. It is a fun place to go.
I love the atmosphere at the Brown Derby and would eat there more often but we make our main meal at lunch most of the time and the food at the Derby is a bit more fancy than what I want for lunch. The food we had there was good and I was acosted by Rosie the "cleaning woman" which was great fun and made for memorable video.

50's Primetime... a DEFINITE must do! Food is great, the service is great, and we always have alot of fun!

Hollywood and Vine... breakfast and lunch are character meals, and the lunch is the best character meal around! Food is good, plentiful and there is a great variety for all. The service was great, and the characters were fantastic!

Brown Derby... we loved the salads there. I had the Cobb Salad, which was fantastic, and DH had the BBQ Chicken Salad, also very delicious. The atmosphere is more adult (the kids around us seemed rather bored) , and the service was great.

'Ohana... great food and plenty of it. Service was great, and the kids love the coconut races and hula hoop contests. Also, the kids activities aren't loud and rowdy, so they don't disturb anyone.

I have lived all over he world and will try anything three times. I know I am in a minority, but I would never do O'hana's again, unless maybe I had two teenage sons LOTS AND LOTS of meat at Ohana's. I am a meat eater that wasn't the problem.

Ate at Brown Derby only once. (only becuase of the expense) nice not sure how I'd like it if I were a teenage boy, but I would probably want my boys to have the experience.

LOVED 50s prime time. Probably because it is a lot like how I grew up. Good home cookin, mind your table manners and have fun with the "family" if ya don't mind 'em.

In my opinion you have chosen a wide variety of ambiance and flavors for enjoyment experience. Come back and tell us which ones you and the boys liked.

We've been to all three!

Prime Time is a must-do for us. For either lunch or dinner. I enjoyed it more for lunch, because it was a nice break from the heat and the crowds. Love the meatloaf. And DH is big on portion size, he loves Prime Time for that. I love the atmosphere, so much fun!

'Ohana is another must do. If your sons are meat eaters, they should love it! My favorite part is the pinapple and caramel. It's great to do on our MK day. We went back to the resort to rest, then went to dinner at Ohana, and it was our e-ride night. It worked out perfectly. We also did it for a birthday dinner for a friend, and it was great fun. We even caught MVMCP fireworks!

HBD - For dinner, DH didn't think it was worth it ( I think he had lamb or something) for the portion size vs. the price. I don't know if that would factor in with your sons. I didn't get a full dinner, I had the Cobb Salad as an entree. If we were to do it again, it would probably only be for lunch, for the Cobb Salad. It is great!
