Need a little help with our food choice at DHS.

Will be having breakfast at Cape May at 8:50am

Then we have a Fantasmic Dinner Package at the Brown Derby at 3:35 pm, for a 6:30 show (the only option available at the time).

I know DH will be looking for a little snack in the early afternoon.
The only place I hear about over & over is Starring Rolls. Would that be a good place for a snack to carry us through to our early dinner?

I also know for a fact that DH will be looking for another bite to eat after the show (he's not used to eating such an early dinner, so just out of habit, he'll be looking for something later on).
Any suggestions for an after the show snack?

Not sure if it matters, but we'll eventually be making our way back to the Caribbean Beach Resort.....

The cupcakes at starring rolls are HUGE! I am sure they will more than tide you over. They also have some yummy sandwiches too.

Totally agree. The cupcakes are decadent and SO delicious.

I've not yet tried it (planning to on my next trip!), but the carrot cake cookie from Writer's Stop gets favorable reviews as well.

I am a huge Disney popcorn fan. I do really enjoy popcorn anyway, but for some reason Disney has THE BEST!! I always have some at Fantasmic! Not sure if that would do the trick for your hubby for the rest of the evening, but I just wanted to mention it in case you haven't tried it. My mouth is watering a little thinking of it! popcorn::

I personally love the cream cheese pretzel. They were selling them at a cart right in front of the big magician's hat. They also have turkey legs (many posters rave about) and macncheese covered hot dogs. Both are served on the strip leading to ToT and RnR. I had the hot dog and although I like it with the macncheese, I was not a fan of the roll it came on. Too big and dry.

Another vote for the cupcakes at Starring Rolls! The peanut butter or the Butterfinger cupcakes are both very good. The Pirate Chest cupcake is also very good.

Cant go wrong at Starring Rolls OR Writers Stop.
Another vote here for the carrot cake cookie from Writers Stop, have also tried the oatmeal raisin, it was as big as my head and DEEEElicious!!

So excited to have the Dinning plan this time and getting to try all the great food that I've always passed by because of cost. Starring Rolls is my first stop at HS!

Wow!!

Here I was trying to help out DH, but I'm the one who is loving what I'm reading!!!!

I can see DH going for a sandwich at Starring Rolls or that hot dog (he LOVES hot dogs). But I'm checking out that Pirates Chest cupcake (too cute!), a carrot cake cookie and if the Fantasmic popcorn is anything like that Indiana brand bagged kettle corn (sweet & salty), then I'm on board!!!!:cheer2:

Thank-you ALL for the great suggestions! I knew you'd come through!!!!

Like the cupcakes at starring rolls, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fruit tarts! Beautiful and especially good on a hot day! Also another vote for the cream cheese pretzels, and the carrot cake cookie is on my list for this trip!
