Yes, those apps are very helpful! Would have just thought Disney would have its own resources for the food they are serving for guests!
The main reason they don't is because they can change manufacturers from cruise to cruise depending on where they may need to restock.
While someone may have used one brand one cruise the next cruise it could be something different which is why they tell you to ask onboard rather than give wrong information.
While they try to keep it all the same all the time, it's not like on land where they have loads of storage. If they stock up in a different port or their usual supplier is out, they have to use something different.
