Need new camera recommendations

So, I currently have a canon powershot s3. Its a good camera, I like it. Its 6mp. Problem is, I'm getting a little tired of carrying it around. What I'd like is a new smaller camera that has a great zoom like this and takes good quality pictures. I'm not an expert photographer, but I do like taking a ton of pictures, especially on vacation. I want something similiar, just smaller. Not sure if that even exists. Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion for a camera for me? Thanks!

My suggestion from a recent thread:

I base a lot of my suggestions on reviews, particularly from Popular Photography, although not exclusively from them. There are many other sites as well. The Canon S90 gets pretty good reviews for a point and shoot and the new Sony DSC-HX5V/B is loaded with features.
