Need information about Walnut Street

Hi there!

We're going to rent a town house on Walnut Street behind Magic Way when we go. I'm not very familiar with the area. The owner says you can take the tram or monorail if you'd like. I'm trying to decide if we want to bring our double stroller and just walk to the gates, or if we want to take the tram and rent strollers in the park. How far is the walk if we go that option? Does anyone know how far the walk to the trams or the monorail is? Any info is appreciated!

It's about a half mile from the Holiday Inn on Walnut to the Mickey & Friends tram stop - http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3234789. I suspect your townhouse is in the complex just west of Magic Way in the map, so you could be walking a bit less than that. The Monorail stop is just south, maybe an additional quarter mile through the DTD parking and past Rainforest Cafe. Or you can walk all the way to the main gates through DTD, which would be maybe a mile total.

Thanks so much! We'll be going back for naps, so maybe we'll just rent strollers and use the tram. Can we walk down Magic Way then? Is that how you get there? The home is about at the corner of Magic and Walnut.

Yes, you can walk it. The blue line shows the path from the Holiday Inn. If we're talking about the same complex make sure you park in the correct parking spot. My DS had his car towed when he parked in the "wrong" spot while visiting friends there.

Remember, the park rental strollers cannot leave the property. You can take them through the esplanade to DCA and DL, but they can't even go into DTD. So don't let the kids fall asleep on the way for their naps...

Yeah, I think we'll bring strollers for the two youngest and then the two oldest should be okay with rentals if they need them.
