I booked the blue lagoon beach day for our family, but am now thinking of adding the dolphin encounter for our five year old and my husband. We will also have a two year old along, he is too young for the encounter (three is the age they are allowed) so I would much rather take him to the nearby beach to play than have him see what he is missing out on. I am thinking of re-booking all of us, two with the dolphin encounter and two as observers since this will be cheaper. My first question is, if you sign up as an observer do you actually need to observe, or can you just go your own way? My second question is, do you get as much time on the island with the dolphin encounter as the beach day? I would really hate to miss out on beach time. We have the full day booked right now, and our ship still has the AM dolphin spot open. Also, it seems like you don't get lunch with the encounter, how much is lunch at blue lagoon? The beach day is more, but it includes lunch and use of some of the inflatables. One more question, if we go the route of two signed up for dolphin excursion and two for blue lagoon beach day, will we be on the same boat over?
