Daughter is rethinking her decision to bring a pack n play for my DGS to sleep in while at WDW in January. He has never slept in a pack n pack except when he was a tiny infant. So DD is fearing he may not adjust to it while on trip.

I have read on here from time to time about renting cribs. DD and I put together a list of questions to see if renting is a better options for us. DGS will be 21 months old at the time of our trip.
Hope someone can help.

What companies can you rent cribs from while staying onsite at Disney?

Which one do you feel is best?

What do the cribs look like?

Are they nice, sturdy cribs or appear to be poorly put together?

Do you need to put the crib together somehow? If so, how long does it take?

Do the cribs come with linens or do you need to bring your own?

Does the company drop the crib off and pick it up or do you need to go get it yourself?

What are the fees involved per day?

If given a choice, would you rent a crib or just bring a pack n play instead?

Thank you all in advance. :)

Before I post this, I must say, I realize that 21 months is old for SIDS, but it is still a great article about Toxic Gases in crib mattresses; http://www.healthychild.com/cribdeathcause.html . We were always aware of this when DD was a baby. We didn't panic, but we were aware.

My DD never slept in her pack n play, but did so on a family vacation we had. Keep in mind no matter what you do the bed will be different, the routine will be different, etc. At least the pack and play will smell like home. And, there is nothing stopping her from putting him in there for naps now, just to get him used to it.

This is just IMHO, but I would bring my pack and play for the baby.

Have a good trip!!

My dd always slept in PnP when we traveled. She was so tired she just wanted a place to lay her head. I sent it through and it did not count as luggage then. The bag it came in traveled well over several trips.
I never even thought about the expense of renting. Why not try a few nights between now and the trip in the same room after a long day?

my DD's never slep well in a PnP on vacation or at home. I am renting a full size crib from A Baby's Best Friend - We will be there 8 nights and it cost me $90. I would rather do that then the PnP. My DD#3 will be 9 months when we go next month. ABBF is used by a ggod amt of people on here from what I have read. I know the crib will be at my hotel when I arrived and I take it back to luggage storage for the company to pick up on our check out day. you can check out their website for pictures of their rentals. www.abbf.com it comes disassembled but requires no tools to put it together. I can put my home crib together fairly quickly but it requires tools. the site says it can be put together in 5 minutes and comes with lines - I will probably bring and extra sheet or 2 with me just incase of any middle of the night emergencies. I say ababys best friend for sure! We used it last year for my ds who was 1 at the time. The crib was very clean and sturdy, we brought our own linens ,they delivered it to bell services at the Poly, we assembled it,that took about 20 min, we stored the box at bell services during our stay. We also rented a stroller, cd player and a booster seat for our room. Very clean, I will try to find my photos to post, I say go ahead, I have never read a bad review here on the boards.

This is the only picture I can find. We ued our sheet but I used the bumper from them , ds loves it. The pooh pillow we bought somewhere at wdw, i can't remeber where but he sleeps with it still! Hope this helps, have a wonderful trip, we went with my parents also and it was soo much fun!

Thanks everyone. Your son is sooooooo cute ginnygt. I am having DD read the responces and check into ABBF. I think she will try the pack n play at home first for a few nights to see if he will sleep in it, then if not we will go with ABBF. Thanks again for the advice.,=

We used Orlando Crib Rental last time we visited. They are wonderful. For $70 for the week we got a full size commerical crib, delivered directly to our room, set up with bedding. The bedding was nice too. Carters. It was nicer than the bedding we have at home. I have used other companies in the past but I was so impressed with Orlando Crib Rental I can't say enough good things about them. I found their name in Birnbaumbs 2009 Disney Guide. Orlando Crib Rental is the only company they recommend.

How did they handle the return of the crib? How did they set up the timming of your arrival at the hotel, did they have other items strollers etc? Always interested in a good company.

We just chose to stay at POR and requested a room in Alligator Bayou w/ a trundle bed. Ds was 24mo during our trip and did great on the trundle.

I was really happy to not have to deal w/ pack n plays or cribs during our vacation!
