DS wants a skateboard for Christmas. I don't want to spend a ton of money but I don't want anything cheap. Does anyone know anything about them. He said something about helium in them:confused3. I also know he likes
Element. ANY info would be great!!!!!!

My son started skating about 10 years ago so I know a little something lol A good skateboard should cost about 100 dollars. Element is a good name. You can buy online from www.ccs.com where you can pick all the different parts and make a fully customized board. Not sure where you live but if you have a Feet First near you, you can make one right in the store. Definitely don't buy used or Walmart types. Good luck!

We bought our DS his first board two years ago when he was 6. We went to a skate/surf shop. I wouldn't spend too much on the first one, but make sure you get a good helmet and pads!:thumbsup2

You need to find a local skate/surf shop to buy your board. Do NOT buy a board from Walmart or Target, etc...the hardware is usually crap.

Agree with the others...a good, entry level board should cost you about $100.

Like most things...you really do get what you pay for.
