I'm traveling with my developmentally delayed/disabled adult grandchild to the Nutter Center for an event and will need lodging. I don't need ADA accessibility but want a safe place with easy, safe parking.

Can anyone give me suggestions? TIA!

The area right around the Nutter Center is fine. Search for Beavercreek, OH and check the map for proximity. I've stayed in hotels in that area several times.

Anywhere by the Nutter Center is fine. It may be under Fairborn instead of Beavercreek. You can stay right across the street. There is a Meijer down the street and a Walmart and mall close by. Lots of places to eat. Have fun at your event!

I have never heard of this place, the "Nutter Center". I can't decide if it's sounds more like candy terminology, or another name for a loony bin.

I'm sure Ervin Nutter had to endure a lot of bullying in his life from unkind people. Good for him he started a company and made lots of money so he could donate it. Both Wright State and the University of Kentucky have facilities name for him.

I'm surprised since "nutter" is more of a British word. There are success people out there with far wackier names.

*edit: I had to remove the map, the forum wouldn't let me post with it included. Email us at visitors@greeenecountyohio.org and I'll send you the link.

I am the perfect person to help you with this question! I used to work at the Nutter Center and now work for the Convention & Visitors Bureau. As a couple of others have mentioned, plenty of options are available near the arena. I threw together a quick map to help you: Hotels Near the Nutter Center.

There are a few more "budget-friendly" properties, but I wouldn't stay at them myself, so I didn't want to point you in that direction. If that is of interest, let me know and I'll add them to the map. My personal recommendation would probably be the Holiday Inn (#2). I also really like the Home2 Suites (#8) brand, but it is in the Mall area. It is still very close to the arena and a very nice area, but if you are coming for a big event, it comes with very heavy traffic before the show, so plan accordingly.

If you have any questions about getting around the arena or the area, let me know!
