I have never been to one of these. Can anyone tell me what they are like? Is it crowded?
We are planning to go to the one at MGM on March 9th. According to the Mickey Monitor, RnR and TOT will be the only rides open.

Thanks!

I saw that in the MM too and was wondering the same questions.

I also was wondering if they had bus service to and from the parks to the hotel, or even Downtown.

We never rent a car anymore, and will be staying at French Quarter, and would really like to go.

Too bad we are not staying at a Boardwalk resort, we could then walk back.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Have a great day, hey it's not snowing here today!!!!!

:D

Bumping this up!!

And, just to let you know, I called Disney yesterday to find out if they would have transportation back to the resorts after the event.

I was on hold for a bit, but Timothy was very nice. He said I had the quesiton of the day. Anyway, they called over to transportation department and did not get an answer to the question. Timothy said that a meeting was going to be held and that a decision would be made on the transportation. He actually called back and left me this message. He suggested I call back next week to get the answer.

He was very nice and helpful. It really is nice to get a CM who will go and get you the answer.

Have a good day.

Thanks! I had not even thought about transportation. I did call yesterday to find out if there was a separate admission charge for the event and the guy I spoke to left me on hold (for quite some time) and found out the there is no charge.

Bumping again Sunny37.
If I hear any more on the transportation I'll post again.

Has anyone ever attended one of these. We have never been lucky enough to be down when they were having "passholder" events.

I did hear that they had one at AK a year or so ago and people were not fully satisfied.

:D

These are special events for Annual Passholders. They are listed in the Mickey Monitor. If you're an AP, you should receive the Mickey Monitor.

This special event is at MGM and will be held March 7-9 (I think) and March 14-16 (that's when we want to go).

I believe that jsut Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster are the only rides open, and AP can ride as many times as they want.

MGM will close at it's regularly scheduled time for 1 hr. Then it will reopen for an hor or 2.

Hope this helps. If I've made any errors, someone out there please correct me.

:D

LoveMickey - Thanks for the response.

We had AP's, but they expired last April. We have vouchers to get new ones when we go this April, so we have not received the Mickey Monitor for a while.

They probably won't have any of these days when we are there during peak season, but who knows, maybe when we go back in Nov. they will do a few. That would be nice. My DD's would love it. :bounce:

Mellsmice,

I'd call and ask for your Mickey Monitor, afterall you have already paid for it so you should be entitled to the MM. Let them know you are going in April, and would like the scoop.

We have visited the parks, in April, May, Aug, Nov and Dec and this is the only time we've ever encountered a passholder event.

Have a magical day.

:D

The 3 we have been to have been well attended, but Disney does crowds well. The one for rolling out TON was a little crazy but I would not pass it up unless you are dog tired. Hope you have a good time. Make sure you get the limited edition pin(s). You'll probably get some free snacks. One year they took family pictures in front of a Christmas setting and sent them home to us.
