We are planning our first ever "resort hopping" day on our trip in early December of this year. I know of a few things that are a must to see, like the gingerbread house at GF, but wanted to know about little nooks and crannies in between that we might miss if we dont know about them. Planning to do the campfire thing at FW, and would like to know about more neat things like that. We usually stay off site (at what is no the Nick Holiday Inn), so we dont know a lot about the parks inside.

Oh!!! We also are looking for a good place to have a picnic on the day we arrive at one of the resorts. Soemthing with a playground would be nice.

Any idease would be appreciated!!! :rolleyes1

Saratoga Springs has a beautiful picnic area right by the water with a view of DTD and has a play ground right next to it. We stayed there in May and it was great! You can walk to the marketplace and see the decorations there too. Be sure to check out the Yacht and Beach Club also. We were there last Christmas and they had a village with a train that was amazing!

Thanks! That would be perfect for lunch the first day. Not sure if room will be ready or not, so we wanted a plan B just in case.

I would walk around the Boardwalk. DH, my brother and my dad  the ESPN club, and I just think it is a very pretty hotel to wander around.

Another great place for a picnic would be FW. Are you bringing your own picnic? If you are the only drawback would be that you would have to park in the main lot of FW & get on a bus to Pioneer Hall. You could then picnic there. There is a playground & also a petting zoo.

I think a nice place to do some resort hopping would be the EPCOT resort area. You'd get to see the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach, Swan & Dolphin.

In the Boardwalk area is the ESPN Club, Big River Grille, Boardwalk Baker & one of my favorites - Beaches & Cream!!!! (this is in the Beach Club - you get it to from the outside near the pool area)

You may also want to think of hopping to all the monorail resorts. :flower:
