Need Ideas for Placemats

I am going to a house warming party on sunday and need idea's for what to embroider on plain table place mats?

I want her to be able to use em all year round.
Any ideas?

I came up with a theme for the placemats.

Acorns. I am hoping to put a big size acorn on one corner and a smaller size acorn on the other. I have 1 acorn design with 2 sizes: 2.5 inch and 4x4.
