I am ONE PAGE away from finishing my 2006 Life album and the pending page is the last page of the book. I don't have any New Years' pics and I don't know what to put on that page. All of my ideas seem cheesy.

What do y'all do?

ETA: I decided to do a quote page. The quote is from Abraham Lincoln and talks about the future. It turned out really well! Thanks for the ideas!

I have either ended or started my books with a collage page. I save all the scap pictures and used my CM square maker and would cut out the extra heads, or flowers, toys etc.....just different things. I keep them in a small container and then would use them to make an opening page. Or if I have memorbilia from that needs to go in the book I make a pocket and then on the pocket adher the pictures. And some times in the pocket I put a slide show of all the pictures I took that didnt' make it into the book.

You could use up any surplus pics (for example, yyou might have taken too many Disney pics ;-) ) with the words "What a year!" Or you could "look forward" to what is coming up in 2007.

My last page of every book is "goodbye 2007 (or other year)." I print out the words big and just get to have a little fun making it pretty and simple.
Or you could do an end of year journaling page. I do it in the beging of every season to recap those three months, but you could recap the year in words. Here is what I am talking about

If it for your Disney book you could if you have a picture of either Mickey or the Castle (5x7) size with the words Til we Meet Again

Thanks for the ideas!

DH and I chatted and decided to do a quote page. I am formatting this quote and will be matting it, etc. on the page with a big "Happy New Year" also.

"The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time."
Abraham Lincoln

It would have been so much easier to come up with a last page if it was a Disney book but I just wasn't sure about a life book. I really like this quote though so that will have to work.

Anyway, thanks again for posting what you do!

I love the "see ya real soon" idea-they also have a sign with this on it on the way out of Disney World if you can get a picture of it. My last page is of Main Street and the castle at night.

I have my Disney last pages all planned out. I have pics of the back of Mickey (don't ask) and plan to use that for one and the sign from WDW saying "See ya real soon" for the other.

Life albums are much harder but I did my quote page last night and it turned out quite nicely. I printed the quote and "Happy New Year" on vellum cut them out and mounted them in much the same layout as my first page. I really like it. I think I will be doing this every year that I don't have New Years' pics. The effect is quite nice.
