Need help with trying to hold down gas prices??

The gas station around the corner jumped 8 cents over night to $1.96 for regular.

It's really infuriating.

Yesterday I saw $2.19, $2.29, $2.39! Still some under $2 around here, but not many.

I use that gasbuddy site frequently. It's very good.

I can't believe that I find myself "lucky" with this price, but I paid $1.71 gal. when I fueled up yesterday. Sounds like this is a "low" price:eek:

I've used that gas buddy site for awhile now to check prices locally. I like it..

Here's another tip if you buy gas at SuperAmerica...SA is offering $2..00 off each gift card purchased. Yesterday, I bought a $50 gift card and paid $46. for it which I then used for my gas fillup. Used my buck coupon from the Ent. book, all helps.

We're still under $2.00, but not by much.

herc.

Thanks for the site, unfortunatley it didn't have any in my area. The gas prices are really hurting me because I drive 150 miles a day round trip to work and back. I have been driving my Cavalier because it has good gas mileage. My husband drives an Explorer. I can't even imagine how much it would cost if I drove that thing everyday. I filled up last night and it was 1.79.

I cringe when I see this. We're planning on driving to Florida this year and I keep wondering where gas prices will end up before then.

Ours jumped 21 cents over night. Its now 193.9. My husband drives 50 miles a day to work, boy does that hurt.

Pokie

I signed on to GasBuddy recently. You can post the latest prices you see at your local stations.

The Mobil in my neighborhood just jumped 8c from yesterday....oy vey!

Did you see the prices in Ca? Won't be long before one can barely afford to get to the store to get milk one can't afford either.

It's $2.21 by the house and the "cheap" station down the street jumped $.06 two nights ago and was at $2.12 - I'm sure it's higher now

It's costing me $50 to fill up the mini-van :earseek:

Great site Dan thanks so much for posting this as it even has my own city Hamilton and even Toronto Ontario Canada!:D
Mind you it doesn't lower the prices any now does it! lol;) :teeth:

thanks Dan..
hate to see what it will be around Memorial Day..

Maybe it would be more efficient, all considered, PG, to fly. Just a thought.

I'm going to HATE to see what we'll be paying when we drive down in Dec. We tow a camper so we make more frequent gas stops. :earseek:

looks at the gas prices.. looks at wifes blazer,, in driveway,, looks across street and sees my suburban hidden in my grandmothers unused garage,, thinks i got the right suv in storage.. we payed almoist 25 bucks for 11 gallons this morn,, was 2.29 gal,, and that is already gone with just todays trip to dr she had to fill up again to take dd to piano lessons,,, and we planningto sneak off to the lake in morning for three days,, afraid it gonna be tough price wise up around hot springs

Thanks for the link, Dan! I had this site a while back but lost the link.

As much as I drive a week (close to 1000 miles at times) I definitely need it. I paid $1.79 for regular out near Roanoke today, and that was at a Sheetz, a chain that usually has low gas prices.
