Need help with timeshare rental - Non DVC

Hi-

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post, but it seemed many DVC members own at other places as well and could offer insight.

I want to go to Mexico in February 2006. I want to stay at Crown Paradise Club. It is registered (is that even the right word? ) with RCI, which I cannot trade into with my DVC.

So, how do I go about renting from someone? I really want a timeshare because the hotel rooms are just standard rooms. Have any of you ever done this before? I've rented my points before, so I understand the whole "leap of faith" thing, but where to I search for renters? Tug has nothing. Does anyone have any experience with Vacation Register?

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! I just don't even really know where to start!

You can place a "Want to Rent" ad on www.tug2.net.

I am not sure how successful you may be. I didn't see any listings under sales or rentals for that facility.

You may want to Google that facility's name.

found the one in cancum - be aware that there is a $48 per person per day extra charge.

there is also a $30 maid charge - it didn't say how often you paid for this one.
