We are going 9/29-10/7. Our first night has always been at Le Cellier. But, they are booked (as of now). In thinking about it, maybe this will force us to do something else. Anyone have any suggestions as how to kick off a great vacation??? Our plan is to arrive at Poly around 12, swim, check in and just relax. We have tickets to go to a park..so we can do that, but we want to stay close to Poly and make it easy, maybe watch the ELP and Wishes from the beach. Just a nice relaxing first day. Thanks.

We like 'Ohana and WCC for dinner. Trail's End at Ft Wilderness looks decent, laid back and affordable. We've gone to the Plaza Restaurant in MK on our first night a few times.

Trails's End is a good, nearby choice. If you feel like a little trip, think about DTD - lots to choose from there. I would avoid another hotel off the monorail, because unless you have a car, you'd be transferring a couple of times - not very relaxing! ;)

We're kicking off our next trip with our first night being California Grill. This may become a new tradition!

'Ohana has my vote. Especially since you are at the Poly anyway. Try to get a table by the window with a view of the castle. :cool1:
