I bought this camera in January of this year. It took great pictures until this summer. Now it will only take a decent picture if I am in bright sunlight.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried different settings and nothing is working. I took pictures on the 4th of July when it was overcast and they all came out dark. Every picture I take indoors is dark and grainy. I've finally figured out that when I'm outside I still have to have the flash on to take a good picture.

It wasn't like this when brand new. It took great pictures indoor and out.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or if I messed with the settings?

Thanks.

it sounds to me like you messed up your settings.

According to the manual, go to menu setup reset all. that will take you back to factory specifications. You might have to reset your time and date etc

Thank you supersteelersfan! I emailed back and forth with Canon and they decided that I need to send it in for service. Something wrong with the metering system. It's under warrenty still so all is good. Thanks again for the help. :)
