Hi! I'm looking for some advice on a good point and shoot camera. I'm not a photographer, just a mom who needs a camera for vacations, daughter's volleyball & softball games, and just everyday picture taking. I'm not a person that knows anything about manual ISO settings, I want to put it on auto and take pictures. I don't have a lot of money to spend unfortunately and was looking at the Nikon Coolpix S6000 that Target has on sale right now for $139 (regular $199). Would this camera be a good choice? Does anyone have a Nikon Coolpix? I also would like for it to take decent indoor shots and maybe some video from time to time. I read the reviews on the Coolpix S6000 and they were really good but wanted to ask here . Thanks!

I just picked up a 'new' Nikon Coolpix S80 off of craigslist for $150. So far I really like the simplicity and picture quality. My mom has a Coolpix model and she rally likes it. The pics they take when overseas are really nice.

Had many Nikon cameras dont think you can go wrong with them never had any problems .

I have the Coolpix S8000 and absolutely love it. My past 2 cameras were Olympus and loved them but they took an XD card (I think the newer ones take the SD). Hope this helps.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S210, I love it, it's very easy to use and takes good photos. My previous camera was a Canon Power Shot and it didn't last very long at all, I'm much happier with my Nikon.
that said, my new camera is my cell phone....my Droid takes better photos then my camera! LOL It's pretty much awesome. :)
