We are going to WDW in April and I need help deciding on a couple of table services. My husband will celebrate his birthday while we are there and I thought about trying to get reservations for Le Cellier for his birthday dinner. I also thought about doing Princess Storybook breakfast that morning for my 2 girls since we will be at Epcot with no park hopper. We will be there a total of 7 nights and have plans for all days except the last full day and departure day. I want to book Chef Mickey's for either our last full day, which I thought we would use as a free day to go back to any park we loved, or our departure day. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I don't know if you're big eaters or not, but two TS ADR's is a lot of food. I know I would be stuffed doing the princess b-fast and Le Cellier for dinner. If you're there 7 days, you may want to split it up and do one TS each day. Doing two sit downs in one day will also take up a lot of touring time.

I am sure your DD's will love the princess breakfast and Chef Mickey's!

Hope this info helps! :)

Our flight leaves about 6:30 pm on departure day so would Chef Mickey's be better that day or on our "free" day?? Should we try to do a park on departure day or what? I'm at a loss.

2 TS meal are doable, I just suggest either spacing them out (early b, later d) OR do not plan on having lunch (just snack). We did PSB for lunch and enjoyed it very much...including the food.

I would save CM for departure day. If you are using DME you will have to depart probably around 4:30 having a 6:30 flight. Maybe do CM for breakfast and then head to DTD or roam around the resorts...or visa versa.

We've done two table services in one day and as long as they aren't breakfast and then lunch or lunch and then dinner, I think you will be okay. Just eat something light for lunch. I think your girls will love the princess breakfast (we did the lunch because DH wanted to try the food, not for the princesses--we don't have girls and we are two adults traveling without our boys these days). The princesses were wonderful with all the girls at the tables near us. LeCellier is our favorite must do restaurant and I am sure your husband would love it.

Are you set on Chef Mickey's as your character meal? If so, I would try to do for breakfast before heading off to whatever park you are going to (we prefer breakfast over dinner at Chef Mickey's). If you are not set on Chef Mickey's, I suggest you do Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. You could get one of the first ADR's at 8:00 a.m. and you would have Main Street almost to yourself and a great opportunity for pictures of the castle without a lot of people in the background.

It depends on what you like to do. I would go to Chef Mickey's on my free day to add a bit of Disney even on my off day.

I would let your last day be open and flexible so you can spend your final hours in the park of your choice.

Our plans so far:
Arrival Day: DTD then 1900 Park Fare dinner
Day 2: MK and Crystal Palace Dinner (not set in stone)
Day 3: HS
Day 4: Daughter's 5th B-Day MK, BBB, and CRT Breakfast
Day 5: AK
Day 6: Husband's B-Day Epcot maybe Princess Storybook Breakfast then
Le Cellier Dinner
Day 7: Return to whichever park we love most(Maybe Chef Mickey Breakfast)
Departure Day: Maybe Chef Mickey Breakfast

Any suggestions?? Maybe we will do Chef Mickey's Breakfast departure day. Not so sure about Crystal palace (my girls aren't big pooh fans, but would be okay). What are your opinions regarding Crystal Palace vs Tusker House Breakfast vs Cape May Cafe Breakfast vs Ohana Breakfast??

We have never done Tusker House. We did Cape May Cafe this past September for the first time and it is now our second favorite (after Crystal Palace). However, it only three characters--Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck in beach attire. We have not been to Ohanas since they changed the characters (went from Minnie and Goofy, Pluto, etc. to Lilo and Stitch--we just don't care for Lilo and Stitch) and went from buffet to family style so can't comment on it but I know a lot of people love it.

Are you going to Fantasmic?

If you are planning on going you may want to see about getting a Fantamic Dining Pkg. It gives you reserved seating so you don't have to arrive over an hour early- now that it is just doing 2 shows a week. There are two places to choose that are 1 TS credit (Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose).

We enjoyed our breakfast with Donald at Tusker House. We also had fun at Crystal Palace. Just pick the one you think your kids will like the most. Hopefully you will be back soon so you can try the other ones you missed this trip.

I'm thinking we may switch out Crystal Palace dinner for Tusker House breakfast. Sounds like there may be better CS at MK than at AK and it would give us more time for our first day at MK. ?? Still not sure about Princess Storybook Breakfast and Le Cellier dinner all in one day. That does seem like a lot. Any thoughts?

We have done Princess Storybook breakfast and then a dinner ADR same day - no problem. We usually just grab a snack for lunch - nothing big. But it's not too much food to do ADR for breakfast and dinner. That seems spaced out well for us.

We love Princess Storybook breakfast! Highly recommend it!

You have a good schedule set up! For your departure day, you may want to consider no ADR if you think you want to visit a park first thing to get in as much as you can before you go. That's what we did. Our flight left at 6pm and we had to be on Magical express by 2:30 or so. We wanted to spend the last day at MK - got there right about 9am and by 1pm we felt that we had said a sufficient "goodbye" to MK. We got to ride our favorites and ride some things that we had never done - had a really good time.

You can get a lot of park-time in that last day - it's nice to have the option to revisit whatever ended up being a favorite.

We also did a TS breakfast and a TS dinner in one day. Just grab a small snack for lunch if you need to.

Maybe switch one of the CMs for O'Hanas!?! Hust for a difference and a few different characters.

We LOVE CM, we do it twice every trip, one breakfast and one dinner. We always, always do our breakfast as a late (almost) brunch on our departure day. It's our traditional send off. The kids get to say goodbye to Mickey and the gang and say see you in 2 years.

We LOVE LeCellier, also we added Akerhaus, though for dinner. By the way these were both on the same day. We had an early lunch at LeCellier (11am) and a later dinner (6:45pm). It wasn't too much food.

We also LOVE CRT for breakfast. BBB is also great. It sounds like you have a great plan.

Enjoy...have fun!

We have done character breakfast and a nice dinner on the same day, but like others have said, ice cream for lunch on that day is just fine! The food at O'hana's breakfast is really good. It's family style, not the buffet like Tusker House and Crystal Palace. While you're not in the park, you are only a short monorail or boat ride away, so you can still get there quickly. We haven't been to the Tusker House House buffet, but did do the breakfast when it was at Donald Duck's Restaurantosaurus - it was yummy! If the specific characters matter to you, AK has Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Donald; Crystal Palace is Pooh, Tigger, Piglet; and O'hana is Mickey, Lilo, & Stitch. My kids are not big into Lilo, but we enjoyed the food just the same. Never been to Le Cellier (sp ?), but keep seeing really great things about it on the boards.
