Hi Everyone!

Here's my situation. I need tickets for January 15 & 16th. I looked at the 2-day 2-park + 2 day free promo costs. If I start my first day on the 15th the tickets are $28 more than if I start my first day on January 10th. This would save me $84 altogether-definitely not small potatoes. The 2+2 window is 7 days, so if I select the 10th as the first day my park days (15th & 16th) are in the 7-day window.

My question is-does this work with Universal? I know it works with Disney but not sure about Universal

I called Universal (twice) and they advised me against this, neither agent had a definitive answer. The first said "maybe the ticket operator might not know blah blah," and the second said "your first day selected is the only day you are guaranteed park access, if the park closes because of capacity you might not be allowed in." I feel like they were both bluffing.

Does anyone have any experience with this matter?

Thank you.

This is straight from the Universal website - Valid for any four (4) calendar days during a seven (7) consecutive calendar day period which commences on and includes the date selected. Clearly stated ANY 4 days. You'll be fine. Have you checked Undercover Tourist to save a bit over Universal website?

Yes, we did this last week. Our park days were Dec 26. 27, and 28. Ticket prices increased pretty much each day through Jan 1 so I counted back 7 days and booked 3 day passes that started on 12/22. I needed 6 tickets, so the savings was significant.

I did get some puzzled looks and some comments when I picked up the tickets on 12/25, "These are valid... oh... 12/22 - 12/28??" Other than that, no issues.

Great-thanks for the report. Based on georgina and cschaaf I bought the tix on UT. Saved a bunch both on the first day hack and by using UT.
