Need help to win Jungle Cruise

I remeber when I first started reading about the game there was a post about getting extra gas. It said to back up behind the dock or something. I tried it over and over and it never worked so I was either doing it wrong or it was a bug that has been fixed.

Anyone know?I think about it every time I play that game.

sadly i know nothing about getting extra gas. that would be cool though!

can i get a woot woot? i made it this morning for the fist time! i was so excited! now i can have a tent room!

what was creepy though is that it was one of my mules names that came up on the list instead of mine. maybe it was left over from practicing last night, but i don't see how it could be since my score was not that high. very strange....

and i know i didn't use my mule for it lol!

anyhow thanks for the tips everyone. i look forward to retriving my little room on my next visit to the real magic kingdom! :)

woot woot!!!

Although I don't usually score quite as high as Tolkien, I usually do pretty well at Jungle Cruise and her advice is absolutely correct. Take your time and don't click that camera as soon as the animal shows up.

On the first round, particularly, wait until you see the first whiff of smoke from the NEXT animal coming on (you need to use that peripheral vision) before you snap the shutter/mouse. You will almost always see "OK" and occasionally even "OOPS" but you will have a much higher score. (And I don't understand the OOPS either. Many times I have received that message and thought I messed up, but after the game checked my photos and found I received points for those animals.)

As others have said, back that boat up on every room in rounds 2 and 3. If you don't do it, you will miss animals in every room.

And beware of animals that pop up next to each other at nearly the same time. If you click the first one too late and the camera lens overlaps the second animal, the second animal will disappear without you being able to take a picture of him. This happens several times in Round 1 particularly: The two side-by-side hyenas in the Temple room. The final bird and ape in the Explorer Camp room, and the last two lions in the Explorers in a Tree room. It also happens SOMETIMES in Round 3 (I think) in the Explorer Camp room when the first hippo to pop up will sometimes overlaps with a toucan in the tree beneath him. (Other times, this toucan appears on the far right side of the screen)

Good luck all!

I dont really know how to win to get on the top but it is fun and it kills A TON of time which is good for me lol ok buye you guys!

Thanks for the tips, Simba! Guess I will just have to keep practicing to convert over from getting "flawless" and only 56,000 points to "okay" and over 60,000!

Sounds just like the fireworks game -- score over 240,000 points BUT DON'T WIN! LOL

Whoever is designing these games has a devious mind! :badpc:

Another tip I didn't see posted in this thread: Never use the forward button.
I does actually make you run out of gas sooner.

I used to use it after I got all the animals, but have started to actually finish all the rounds and score much higher.

Personally, I'm upset that I can't get the tent room. They need to tell people right off that you only get 100 credits for making the top 10 and that you have to go to the parks to actually get your prize.

What are us poor people who don't live anywhere near the parks supposed to do? :confused3

I ask myself that same question.

I absolutely sympathize with people who are not able to get to parks anytime soon. I don't live near a park either, but I am fortunate in that I will be traveling to WDW soon.

However, we do need to appreciate the fact that the entire reason Disney created VMK was as a marketing tool to get more people into the parks - particularly video-game obsessed teenagers who would rather sit in their hotel room playing games than venture out into the parks. (Yeah, I can't fathom that either, but I read that it does happen! :goodvibes l)

So the fact that some prizes for the on line game require us to go into the parks is just an inconvenience that those of us who don't live in Florida or Calif. may just have to accept.

:confused3
