Hello to all, i'm new to this,we are a family of 4,(2 boys,16 & 13) and need to make a descision pretty quickly as to when we should go to Disney, it would be either the week of March 19th - 26th or June 11th - 18th, we would like to go the week in March but was wondering just how crowded it would be and if it would be worth it and if June was alot less crowded, we would be driving down from the Philadelphia area if we go in March, if we do descide March 19th is there and last minute specials/discounts on packages (hotel/parks) we could look at ? and also wondering is the June date less expensive ?
If we go in June too I was leaning towards the auto train ($700 roundtrip for 4 and a car, though for the March date it is $1200)
any feedback would be greatly appreciated

There have been a lot of people posting about the crowds and difficulty getting a room the week before Easter if I remember right, you might want to scroll down a couple of pages and read the posts.

I'd go with June, even though it will probably be hot. Enjoy your trip!

I would go in June. The dates you have are before the big summer crowds really pick up. It will be crowded but not as bad as the weeks surrounding Easter. It sounds like this will be your first time, and I think you will be able to see and do a lot more in June.

We went in June 2003 and are going again in June this year. In my opinion, June is a great time to go. It is hot so make sure that everyone has lots of sunscreen and water. However if you go out early and head back to the resort in the early afternoon for a swim and rest it's awesome. You can then head out again for a great dinner and if you want a not so hot night at the parks again. Remember too some of the rides are closed in the colder months for refurbishment and cleanup. I'm not sure if any are closed in March but when we went in June nothing that we wanted to go on was closed.

I'd say go in June.

Hi Laurie,
Welcome to the DIS! I was in the same dilemma as you last year. We were set in going in June of this year but then we thought how hot and humid it would be during this time. Then we thought about going during our DS's Spring Break(3/25-4/2). Although it would be crowded during this time, the weather may be more pleasant. After weighing the pros and cons, we decided to go during Spring Break. Our kids are age 3 and 6. So, our plan is to hit up the parks in the morning/early afternoon. They would probably be tired so we would either head back to the resort to swim or take a nap then we can return to the parks in the evening.
We're glad we're going at this time. I can just see my kids get really irritable in the Florida humidity! Not pretty at all...
Good luck in your decision! Which ever time you go, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

The week in March you are talking about is spring break here in Florida. Many FL residents go during that time, and I've heard it's quite crowded.
