Would you do this?

I can book FL Tours Van to get us from MCO to Dolphin Resort
where I can rent a National car rental for $200 less than I would be able to rent for directly from the Airport.

What do you know about FL tours? Do you recommend them? and what about the National rental at the Dolphin? I haven't heard anything or anybody renting from this location.

My question would be when you add in the cost of the Fl Tours van to the rental what is the comparison to just getting a car at the airport..

To rent from MCO is $624 for 10 days. To rent from Dolphin and take FL Tours (Van) total is $402. We would have to rent a van to get us from MCO to WDW-this way, we take the FL Tours Luxury Van and rent a fullsize car (no luggage concerns).

I am really surprised that it will cost you less to rent a car at the Dolphin than at MCO. Non-airport rental locations are usually more money. Unless you are planning on renting at the Dolphin for only a couple of days and not for your entire stay.

Have you checked out www.mousesavers.com and www.rentalcodes.com for info rental car discounts?

Just booked a full size vehicle at National-Dolphin for 10 days over Easter for $287.04 incl all taxes and surcharges using code and FL Tours Luxury Van for $115 ($5 coupon), so $402 plus change.

If I had to rent and drive from the airport we would require a van (5 people plus luggage) and for the 10 days it would cost $624 plus change (using codes).

You see what I mean-I only need the van because of the luggage problem-a car for 5 will be fine while in WDW.

Oh, now I understand. You were looking at rates for a van from MCO due to the luggage and rates for a full size car from the Dolphin. No wonder there was a difference in rates.

Keep an eye on the above mentioned websites and keep checking for discounts/rate changes. There are also other companies that rent offsite at some of the DTD hotels.

We are pretty limited with codes and such since Easter is a blackout period for most rental agencies. Does anyone know about the National location at the Dolphin?
