Okay... I know... its a ways away. But we just came back from our first ever trip to DL and LOVED it! We are WDW vets, but we want to keep DL in the rotation. We can't get back until next fall, but I (the obsessive planner) am already kicking around dates. This year we went the week after Halloween (Nov. 1 - 8) and found the weather perfect and the crowds either totally absent or quite reasonable. We also liked seeing a glimpse of the Halloween decorations... but now we are really curious about the Christmas decorations, since they were starting to go up during our trip. My question is.. when would be a good time to go next Nov? We could either do a similar time frame (maybe Sun. to Sun - 1st - 8th again), or push it closer to the X-mas decorations (my thought being 11/14 or 15 - 11/21 or 22 - hoping to squeeze in between Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving crowds). Do you think this later week in Nov will be super crowded, or be similar to what we experienced the first week in Nov. We would also consider traveling the week after Thanksgiving, although it seems that is getting to be a busier time at the parks and I always hate coming home and having rush, rush, rush to Christmas (we always seem to go to WDW during that week).

Thanks for any insights!

I think nearly all of the Christmas decorations will be up for the week before Thanksgiving week. :santa:

The Christmas holiday season in DL usually starts the Friday before Thanksgiving, so you would be able to see the Christmas parade and the Holiday Magic fireworks starting on Friday, Nov. 20. :santa:

Crowdwise, the weekdays for that week (Monday, Nov. 16, to Friday, Nov. 20) should be good, although Friday night (Nov. 20) to Sunday (Nov. 22) will likely be very, very crowded, as that weekend will be the beginning of Thanksgiving week.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

That does help! Thank you very much!
