We're going back! :cool1:

We just got back from POFQ not even a week ago and here I am, already moved on to trip #2! :goodvibes

I called yesterday to make a few ADR's, and was really surprised to have a hard time getting Le Cellier. I gave them 5 days to choose from, for a party of 3, and only one of those days had any availability! If you want to eat there in October, call now!!

Here's what I've got so far:

Day 1: Arrival - CS in MK and then watch Wishes
Day 2: ??? Maybe a nice TS breakfast and then CS dinner at Animal Kingdom?
Day 3: dinner @ Kona Cafe
Day 4: dinner @ BOMA - could move this to day 2
Day 5: dinner @ WCC
Day 6: dinner @ Crystal Palace (before MNSSHP)
Day 7: dinner @ Grand Floridian Cafe
Day 8: dinner @ Le Cellier
Day 9: ??? would like something near MK
Day 10: ??? breakfast or lunch before departure - Kona?

Any thoughts? I'm hoping to try new places this time, aside from those that were really good last time (Kona, Le Cellier) - so we're not planning on going to Ohana, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, CRT or PSB at Akershus.

A dinner show might be nice, or for the same price we could probably go to Rainforest Cafe in DTD. Which is better, food-wise?

I'm also thinking of trying Fantasmic, if someone could recommend the best restaurant to get with the package that would be great!

Sorry for all the different questions and TIA for any advice!!

Unfortunately, I can't say I'm surprised that you're having trouble with Oct. reservations. I had problems getting some ressies we wanted for Dec. and I called at 180 days out at OMG it's early! (We do have a large party, so that's part of it I know). At least you were able to get what you wanted.

Here are my suggestions for the days you still have up in the air:

For your TS breakfast on AK day, we really liked the breakfast at Boma and it would be close to the park.

For Day 9 near MK, you could try the Concourse Steakhouse.

For Day 10, lunch before departure at Earl of Sandwich in DTD would be my recommendation. That place is SOOOOO good!

Have a good trip!

Thanks! We tried Concourse last time and it was actually very good - I think we'll go back again!

Is the Boma breakfast just "normal" breakfast foods, or is there an African twist?

Were you planning on doing a dining review??? I would love to hear about all your ts meals!!! Also, did you like POFQ? We were just at CBR in APril (we had really wanted POFQ but It was sold out!!!)
We are planning our next trip, Sept 27-october 3 w/mnsshp and free dining!!! :cool1:

There are all the "normal" breakfast foods with a few African twists thrown in...here's a link to the menu. I liked the bobotie and the frunch is delicious!

Just a thought...reserve for 4 instead of 3 - you'll have better luck!
Strange I know... When I was reserving for 2, they told me to reserve for 4 instead... well sometimes, when you have issues. Let's say they have 2 tables of 2...well they can't put them together and give you your table of 3...see what I mean? I would try...

It's a CM who told me that... shhh! It's a secret! Ooops... it's on disboards now! haha Dah, it was shared before so.

Hope this helps!

Oh boy, I don't know about a dining review! I hate to say it, but our bad meals seemed to outnumber our good ones. I don't know if I expected too much, if it was an off week, or what. The character meals seemed to be the most dangerous, lol.

We loved POFQ!!! Loved loved loved it! Everything there was great - we got our room requests so we were right by the food court and only a short walk to the bus stop through the main building. The bus transportation was always really good - it was great being first on and first off at night! We loved the boat, and used it many times to visit POR and DTD. DD loved the pool and the playground and I loved all the big trees and the bunnies. There were so many bunnies!!

We're also going back for MNSSHP and though I'd love to do POFQ again, I'm trying to cut costs on this trip to justify going again so soon. I'll really miss POFQ, but I think DD will love the theming at ASMo - I just hope the buses are as good there!
