Need help planning a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 1&2 themed wedding

Lisella's got some awesome ideas for you! Love the tour program idea!!

I like both of the dresses you linked to! The second one is my favorite though!!

I have two questions right now sticking out in my mind with regards to my wedding planning...

Is there a general ratio of # of guests to bridesmaids and groomsmen that people usually have?

How far in advance should my fiance and I ask someone to be a bridesmaid/MOH/BM/ groomsman?

Just wondering, because I am beginning to start thinking about this.

Thanks,
Laura

Martha Stewart had a school themed wedding in an issue of her Weddings mag. There were custom invitations that looked like retro attendance "roll" sheets, a "test" about the couple the guests filled out with no. 2 pencils of course and apple place cards. The guests took pics by and wrote on a huge flippy style chalkboard. I don't know if you could use any of those ideas, but it looked pretty cool.

I think it's great that you are going for a theme you love. My advice is to choose HSM colors and let the ceremony be elegant. Save the fun, cool details for the reception.

Maybe you could make a wedding logo that like HSM logo has those lights but instead of HSM use YOUR monogram? Maybe that would make a cool cake topper , too? Maybe make that "light" logo your theme? You could use that light style monogram on sooo many things!

Based on our theme, we have just decided on the colors for our wedding. Going along with the Wildcat colors, Adam and I have chosen Red, White, and Gold as our wedding colors.

I think its such a cool idea for you guys to do a HSM theme! I love the grooms cake!!

I do too. It's unique. High School Musical is a big part of our lives as a couple, and so we decided to use it as our theme.

I've actually found a few videos online of Adam doing his backflip on the ice. Maybe I should try to incorporate one of those into the reception somehow. Do any of you guys want to see it?

What do you think about taking videos of Adam and I at the different places we go on tour and somehow incorporating that into the wedding? The only problem that I could think of that might come up with showing the videos DURING the wedding would be interrupting the flow of the reception.

Any ideas on what to do?

I had friends get married (7 years ago now) and they had a video play during part of the dinner. They said something like "we want everyone to sit back and enjoy their meal, so sit back and enjoy the story about us" (includes how they almost met about 4 times before they actually met).

How cute will that be. I would love to see you when you come down
