Hi there! I am going to buy a Keurig from Kohl's with the great discounts/rebates going on right now. I am leaning towards the mini. DH and I don't drink coffee everyday. And if we do drink some, the most either one of us has ever drank was 2 mugs in one morning. But, then I think maybe the next step up model is the way to go. Anyone have any recommendations? Also - we have VERY hard water here and was thinking that the water sitting in the there might crap is out sooner (if I understand correctly - the water needs to be added every time with the mini??? It doesn't sit in there??). Any help would be appreciated! :goodvibes Thanks!

I'd like to know too but don't think I want the mini. What is the best Keurig ? My DH drinks 1 cup a day but I would be using it a lot for iced tea and regular tea and stuff.

My MIL has the platinum series Keurig. She loves it.
Personally I chose the Cuisinart after reading a lot of reviews online. I was leaning toward the mini Keurig or the platinum myself. But I like that the Cuisinart has a rinse cycle that you can use between changing from hot cocoa to coffee or another type drink. It also has the reusable kcup included (the one you can add your own coffee to) stored right on the side of the machine. I got mine at Sam's club for $148 and it included 16 kcups and a 1 1/2 year supply of water filters. DH kinda grimmaced when I brought it home asking why we needed that. Well now-he's spoiled. We are both addicted to the donut house coffee. :rolleyes1

I have had my Keurig for 4 years now. I LOVE IT! I own the platinum. It really works out great. I do love the different sizes. My DH love the travel mug size. Last Christmas I did buy my mom the Cuisinart and it really has some nice features. I think that when I need another I would get this one.

I do not think that you would be happy with the mini. It is a good prices, but the size cup of coffee you would get with it might not make you happy. Even if you dont drink alot of coffee it is a really small amount when you see it in your cup. I would spend a little extra and get some other features. Ice coffee, hot water for soup or other drinks.

You will not regret buying this. I cant say enough wonderful things about them. Best Christmas gift my DH has ever gotten me.

Thank you so much! Always good to hear from people that has the product you are asking about. I am off to research the platinum Keurig and the Cuisinart......both sound like they would work for us. Thanks again!!!! :goodvibes

I have a mini and love it. But we're a family that prefers simple to all the bells and whistles. You do have to add water to the mini each time you brew and the size of the cup is limited to 10 oz but it's perfect for us. So it really would depend on the extra's you may be looking for. The mini is very basic, if you want more features, go to one of the higher priced models.

We have had the B60 (Special Edition, I think?) and decided we wanted a bigger one but couldn't bring myself to get one until I got my 30% off Kohl's coupon! The B60 has always been a good one and we're giving it to our DH and new DSIL.

I considered the Cuisinart but Keurig has a $35 mail-in rebate right now and you get $10 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend. So, I bought the Platinum. Reg. $239.99, on sale for $179.99 w/30% off and then I got $20 Kohl's Cash.

So, with 30% off I paid $125.99, -$35 rebate= 90.99, -$20 Kohl's Cash = $70.99 final price for the Keurig Platinum!

That's why I decided on the Keurig over the Cuisinart. I researched and read reviews on both makers and Keurig got pretty good reviews. Also, several reviews said Kohl's has a great return policy in case something happens to it.

Hope this helps!

Thank yo so much! Now I am leaning towards a bigger model. I just am so undecided! Thank you everyone for showing me the pros and cons! I love the idea of the mini, but wonder if I will get tired of adding water all the time. But, we do have REALLY hard water that craps out our things, so not having water sitting in there might be a great advantage for us here! Thank you again my friends! :goodvibes
