Need Help Lying to my Children!! :)

I'm so happy I found this today! We haven't been on a family DW trip for a couple of years, so my poor, neglected children think we're NEVER EVER going again (please read that with sarcasm) :rotfl2:With school and sports being an issue now as they're older, it's been difficult to find a "good" time. My DH and I found a week before school stars where we're pretty free and clear of any commitments, so we've booked a week for the 4 of us (DD is 14 and DS is 10). Unfortunately, my oldest (who is 19) will be back in school (college) at this time, but she is understanding and knows she will get there again (as a side note, I feel terrible she can't make it, but it was the only time we had and she's been there many, many times with and without us).
Anyways, my DH and I have decided to surprise the "little ones" this time around. We've never gone that route before, so really excited I found this post. I know they won't be upset with a surprise, so we're really trying to find the right way to do it. Thanks for posting and GOOD LUCK and have FUN!!! :shamrock:

Thanks and you too!! That's a lot of visits, can I ask where has been your favorite place to stay so far? What about your kids favorite?

MY favorite place has to be the Villas in AK (Kidani Village), however, my DS who was 5 at that time said "I like fancy, but that was TOO fancy" LOL.

We've been a family of 5 for most of our trips, so POR has fit all of our needs. I love the grounds there & kids loved it as well. This next trip will be at CBR and that will be the first time our kids will be there. DH and I haven't been since 1999.

My "bucket list" of resorts are: Poly and Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Unlike my son, I really like "too fancy" :)

OOOH nice! We are staying at POR this trip. I would absolutely love to be able to do AK, omg. And I think the next time we do this trip (if we ever get to save it up again) I would save the extra to go there.

Look into renting points if you decide on AKL for another trip. We are staying there this trip, but only because it was a great deal with points rental. Couldn't afford it at Disney prices even with a 30% discount. We have stayed from offsite to value to moderate to deluxe, and truly our value trips were just as special as the deluxe ones. I hope this is a great trip for you!!!

A customer of mine rents points. I'll have to look into that if we catch the bug and want to go again (lol'ing at the "if" in that sentence :rotfl:)
