Need help from someone in Chicago

My dh is traveling on business tomorrow to Chicago. He flies into and out of Midway Airport but found out at last minute the hotel is 22 miles away next to Ohare Intl. What is the best way for him to get from Midway to near Ohare? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

There is a shuttle between the two airports My parents have taken it several times in the past but that was several years ago My mom should be here any time and I'll see what she remembers about it.

A cab is the best and quickest way. There are tons waiting right outside the terminal.

I don't need directions since he won't be renting a car. I want to know if he should take a cab or take a cab to public transportations or what his options might be because I can only imagine what a 22 mile cab fare in Chicago would run. I wasn't clear what I was asking for in my first post. Sorry about that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

He can take the Orange Line downtown (there will be signs at the airport directing him there) and transfer over to the Blue Line at Clark and Lake. The Blue Line will take him to O'Hare Airport and he can either catch a shuttle from the hotel (if offered?) or a VERY short cab ride from there.

Generally speaking, the ride downtown on the Orange Line is 25 mins. and the ride out to O'Hare on the Blue Line is about 40 mins. It may take that long in a cab but the meter will be running. The fare on the Orange/Blue Line will be $2.00 total. You can visit www.transitchicago.com and click on travel planning on the right hand side. Chicago's mass transit system is very user friendly (everything is color coded) and generally the best way to go if he doesn't have a ton of luggage.

Here's info about the shuttles between the two airports. But that would just take him to the airport. He would still have to find a way to the hotel. I would just take a cab.

Thank you so much for all your help. He does have complimentary shuttle service from Ohare to his hotel so he will be fine doing that.
