Need help finding songs/lyrics for 50th b.day scrapbook.

Okay... so I had the "brilliant" idea that I would put songs and lyrics on the pages of DSIL's 50th b.day scrapbook. But I really need help finding appropriate songs. The only one I have come up with so far is the song "In my daughter's eyes" (not even sure who sings it). I'm going to put it on a page of mulitple photos of her and her daughter (obviously).

The pictures include pictures of DSIL from toddler to current. She is the single Mom of two kids, ages 11 and 23 (her 23 y/o daughter got married last year).

The only other obvious song choice is "Up, up and away (in my beautiful balloon)" for the pictures of her at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival.

I thought maybe some of the pictures of her from high school and/or college could have songs from that era. She would have graduated hs in about 1975.

Any good ideas? Any websites out there that have songs by date and/or song lyrics? I'm terrible at searching the web. I never know what to ask for.

In my Daughter's eyes is by Martina McBride.

A good one for 'over the years' pictures is "Forever Young", either the Rod Stewart or the Bob Dylan version.

Thanks so much for the website and the song lyrics. I will be using them! It took me 30 minutes this morning to find the lyrics to an old song called "The Way we Were" (B. Streisand).... I can't imagine how long it will be taking me to find the rest of the songs that I need.

Just a tip for finding song lyrics - I usually just use google and type in the name of the song (or part of the name if I'm not sure of the whole title) and the word lyrics and I usually get a bunch of hits for websites with the lyrics.

Okay ladies..... I'm doing okay with this project. But I still need a few songs and I'm just making myself crazy trying to search for specific words in songs... it is taking forever!

I need a song or two about families, growing up, etc.

I need a song about sisters.

I need ANOTHER song about Mothers and daughters.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!...........P

Well.... after lots of searching I went back to an earlier idea I had and I used the "Sisters" song from Irving Berlin's White Christmas. I changed the "two faces" to "three faces" to fit the picture, but other than that it was okay. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I loved all of them. I used all of the songs you all suggested except for the Kenny Rogers (DSIL is not married and it seemed like a romantic type song). THANKS AGAIN, for all of the helpful suggestions. FWIW, if anyone is ever searching for lyrics, the most helpful website I found was www.elyrics.net They did have some very annoying popup ads (not sure why my computer didn't block them), but I managed to ignore them. Also, the suggestion about the www.alaskajim.com website was a GREAT help in finding songs by year. Thanks for that link. ........P
