Need help - end of year Teacher Gift suggestions

yesterday was our last day of school (i am a k-4 teacher) and 1 parent wrote me a very nice thank you card and included a framed picture of me and the child that she had taken on a fieldtrip. That picture and card meant more to me than a giftcard or chocolates. Its nice to feel appreciated

For the last two years my son had teachers who had young children. At the end of the year I gave one of them a sand pail that I filled with things they could use to have fun in the summer ie: bubbles, sidewalk chalk, kite and a gift card for local fun center. The other one I made an ice cream sundae bag and gave cute dishes, ice cream scoop, toppings and gift certificate to Friendly's to buy ice cream.

Another teacher I know loved chocolate so I gave her a bunch of chocolate items, candy, brownie mix, mudslide mix etc. They all seemed to like them.

Another year I got these silly plastic cups from the dollar store and put in a tub of crystal light drink mix and a Barnes and Noble gift card and a note that said something like enjoy a cold drink in a cool cup with a great book. Corny I know!

Preschool is over today with graduation. I have become good friends with many of the teachers over the years (4 years with 5 years of classes for my 2 oldest, so far :rotfl2: ). I know they big thing they say is NO MUGs, NO ORNAMENTS and NO CANDLES.

We usually do GCs for the teachers with everyone signing who put in. They really like any GCs they said. They also get a lot of other things extra from the families but seem really happy for the GCs to pick out their own gift.
