For our trip the end of this month we are getting DDP for the first time. With DH, myself, DSS and DSD it seemed to make sense. I like the idea of having everything prepaid and few restrictions on what we can choose. Now I am trying to decide whether to get the DDP on the September trip I am taking with my sister. We could get free dining but with upgrading my ticket on the trip the end of this month and using a AAA discount for the room, it looks like I would save about $74 and she would save about $40 if we booked things separately instead of going with the package. These are numbers I came up with by comparing things online so I am headed into AAA shortly to have them double check things. Her and I have talked about it and are both in agreement that we don't really want to do sit down meals. I am thinking though that even with CS meals only, we could easily eat $114 worth of food in 4 days, especially her eating $40 worth. So I guess I have answered my own dilemma and will be heading to AAA to check availability for free dining. Does anyone happen to know what my chances are of being able to use a TS credit for a CS though?

I tried to use a TS credit leftover for breakfast on our last day, but I was told that the credits can only be used for what they are intended for. Something about the computer will not recognize the difference between a CS credit and a TS credit. If you don't plan on doing very many sit down meals (even though it is free dinning), you might be better off doing the package the other way. For a four night trip you will only get 4 CS credits and that will cover 2 days worth of meals, but if you do try to do the sit down dinners then it is worth getting the free dinning. Hope this helps, maybe somebody else can confirm or have information about the TS credit for a CS meal.

We just returned May 15th and on our last day we had one child's TS credit left over...we asked at Capt Cooks if we could convert it to a CS credit...the lady did this without any problems...she just made it very clear that once she converted it she could not change it back...we were using it right then so it worked out great. I would problably check with the front desk the day you plan to use the credits as CS and see if they can do it...do not have them converted all at one time (and you probably should not wait until you plan to use them at the CS location...you MIGHT run into trouble)...I think it probably depends on your CM...if they know how, how busy they are (it did take an extra minute or two), how friendly they are, etc.
