I am thinking of making reservations for CRT for my daughter's 3rd b-day celebration in May. I am still a little confused with the new way they're doing things.
1. Here's my main question: how does cancelling work? I would really like to do Cindy's for breakfast on the second to the last day we are there because then the most family members would be there. Here's the deal: DH, me, DS (6) and DD (2) will be arriving on a Saturday. The following Tuesday my mom & dad and my sister and her infant son will be coming in. On Thursday, my sister-in-law will be coming in. My sister leaves on Saturday. On Sunday, the rest of us go to the port for a 4 day cruise, meeting my mother- and father-in-law at the port. So, Friday would be the day that the majority of our family could do the character meal. However, that is also the 2nd to the last day we will be there. I would like to keep trying until I can get a reservation and then cancel that one right away if I can get it for Friday. But, I don't want to have all that money tied up on my credit card for multiple reservations.
Now, am I understanding that I can make the reservation for our whole trip on the first day of 180 days out (which would make it the end of this week since we are doing 2 resorts and thus have 2 reservations)? So, I should know right away if I can get reservations for that Friday, right?
2. Also, with the new price increase, is it really worth it? I know people will all have different opinions on this one. I'd just like to hear them. We've never eaten at the castle before. My daughter is totally into princesses right now and would just love it, I think. On the other hand, I'm looking at having to pay upwards of $90 -- $100 for 3 people (thankfully she's still 2 at that point) with meal, tax, and tip for a BREAKFAST that she probably will not remember at all when she gets older. Do you think it's better to wait until they are older? But, then I'm afraid she won't get as excited about seeing the princesses, even though she will remember it. Please let me know what your experiences are.
Thanks so much for all your comments/suggestions!
