I am having a hard time choosing meals could use some help.
Which meal is better dinner @ Chef Mickeys or dinner @ 1900 Park Fare?
I have been seeing bad reviews on both lately.
Which meal at Crystal Palace is better to do breakfast, lunch or dinner?
The menus look so good on all the meals it's so hard to choose. Oh by the way I will be dining w/ my daughters 13 & 6 and twin sons 11 if this helps with the decision process.

I think it comes down to which characters you want to see, honestly. If you want to see Cindy and her crew, do 1900. If you want Mickey and the gang, do Chef Mickeys. You'll read bad reviews of everything... I don't think either restaurant is bad, just remember you're paying the big bucks for the atmosphere of the characters, so make it count with the characters you want to see. I think you'll be pleased with either!

I have only done breakfast at Crystal Palace, and we almost always stick to breakfast character meals, and enjoyed it immensely. =)

We ate at all three just last week and my favorite would be 1900 Park Faire, the food and character interaction were great. We did dinner at Crystal Palace and were very disappointed, the kids food bar stayed empty most of the time and we only saw two of the characters Pooh never even got close to our table. Chef Mickeys (always a family favorite) was also disappointing this time, the characters seemed rushed and the food was just ok. Our waitress was also bad. So my vote would be 1900. Have fun!!!

Hi! We are going to WDW for the fourth of July... I hear it's supposed to be crowded... but i really want to be there on the fourth... This is our first family trip to WDW. We wanted to wait til our daughter(7) was old enough to remember and our son(14) would still have fun
I have been going site to site for 3 weeks now. I am totally driving my prince charming insane...
We made two character meal reservations.... I know a lot of sites say to eat a big breakfast... but, i don't want to feed everyone a big meal and go on rides...
We booked at Contemporary Chef Mickeys-- its all you can eat, which will hopefully fill my hubby and son, and minnie is there too, so i read, my daughter really wants to see her. And the monorail goes thru the restauraunt. The WDW dine info said you get choice of prime rib, fish, chicken and supposedly the mashed potatoes are out of this world.... We booked for 5:20. It's a bit more pricey than breakfast, I think our total will be arout 90 dollars....
THEN... in EPCOT at THE LAND, is a revolving restauraunt with hosts CHIP AND DALE.... so you get dinner and a show in a revolving restauraunt... so... i think that comes to like 16 dollars a piece, and we booked the latest lunch for 3:00.... that is also buffet
I know I haven't been to Disney World since before EPCOT, in 1980, but I've been doing 3 solid weeks of research, and have about 100 pages printed out full of info. It's like i've taken a travel course on Disney...
I think i am more excited than my kids....

but i would decide which characters everyone wants to see, and then go with the ones you want to see the most...
my son 14 was a bit excited when i told him chip and dale, my hubby liked the idea of a revolving restauraunt....
hope i have helped...

IMO, Chef Mickey's is better for breakfast. So, I would pick 1900 Park Fare over Chef Mickey's for dinner.

We enjoy Crystal Palace for dinner. We've always had good food and great character interaction there.

Ditto...Chef Mickey's dinner is blah, but the breakfast is good. We have always enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast at 1900 PF. I think CP is good for any meal. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

We have eaten dinner at Chef Mickey's twice and have always had a great time. We usually book the earliest seating but I don't know if that matters. We ate at 1900 Park Fare last year and really enjoyed it, too. With 2 11 year old boys I would think Chef Mickey's would be more fun than 1900 Park Fare IMHO.
We love  breakfast at the Crystal Palace -- this has become a must do for us every trip. Try for the earliest seating which is before the park opens-there is something magical about being in the MK before the masses arrive and you can get some great pics of the castle. Good luck with your decision :flower:
