DS is coughing all night. It seems to be something going around here. He is back to sleep now. He needs a doctor but I don't remember my options for the doctor. Front desk was not answering when I called. Is anyone awake out there that knows? Thanks.

According to my Birnbaum's, there is a Centra Care nearby (12500 Apopka-Vineland Road, phone 407-239-6463) but it is only open 8 am until 8 pm on weekends.

A 24-hour house call doctor can be requested by calling Doctors on Call (407-399-3627) and they will come to you.

If itis urgent, Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital is listed at (407-351-8500)

I hope your little one is better soon.

That was the number I had and there is no answer not even an answering service. What about Celebration, don;t they have a care center there. By the phone on the nightstand is a list of many numbers, I think there were three medical options. Try a hot shower to control the cough too in the meantime.
There are 24 hour pharmacys there too.
Is there someone that can go to the main desk?
I hope you find help soon,
dianne

Thanks!
We did finally get someone to answer the phone at the front desk. FYI - It's not the front desk. She said we had to go to the front desk to find out that info. :confused3
Anyway, the front desk said the best bet is Celebration hospital since Centra Care is not open yet and the doctor that comes to the room is way too expensive. She said she is not sure but she has heard over $600 and they won't take insurance but they do take Visa. :sad2:
He is still sleeping right now, so I am just waiting for the rest of the family to get ready to go. I wanted to say thanks for help.

If you are still there call your dr at home. Most have an after hours #. He knows your child best and might call something in for you to save a trip to the ER. This is the advice we always have received from our dr.

I just wanted to say that we had to take 2 of our daughter's to Celebration hospital...yes on 2 seperate visits...They are wonderful there. Very nice and very helpful, so if you really have to go to the hospital i would highly recommend them.
I really hope your little man is feeling better soon!!!

I just wanted to add that this happened to us at Pop, turned out dd is highly allergic to mold, and in the room she would get so stuffed up and cough her little head off, then in any closed in air conditioned area. Benadryl solved that.

There is a centra-care right outside of the Disney in Lake Buena Vista. THere also used to be an after hours pediatric clininc in the same shopping center as Goodings at the Crossroads. I haven't been down in about 8 months, so I am not positive it is still there. Celebration Hospital is great though....I was admitted there last May when I came down with Meningitis while at Disney. It is actually very clean and effecient. Good Luck, hope your little one feels better soon!
