This is our tentative picks on where we will be eating for our Aug trip. This is our first visit to DW and we will be using the basic DDP.
Travelling will be 4 adults and 3 kids ages 4,3 and 7

Please feel free to pass on any thoughts comments or feedback on our choices (good or bad). Is their anywhere we may be missing that would be a better choice? Thanks

Day 1 - AK Yak and Yeti (dinner)
Day 2- MK Cosmic Rays (lunch) and Tony's Town Square (dinner)
Day 3- Epcot Sunshine Season (lunch) and Le Cellier Steakhouse (dinner)
Day 4- MGM Pizza Planet (lunch) then dinner somewhere not on DDP in Downtown Disney
Day 5- lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express and then dinner at Coral Reef
Day 6- MK lunch at Pecos Bill and dinner at Mickey Backyard BBQ (still on the fence between this and Hoop De Doo, any thoughts?)

Everything looks good to me we either liked or thought all of your restaurants were OK EXCEPT Pizza Planet. Seriously the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. Completely inedible and a total waste of dining credits for us.

I would suggest Backlot Express for lunch and then head over to Pizza Planet for the arcade games and atmosphere. If you want a snack from Pizza Planet try the Mickey Mouse Krispy treats. Those are the good ones.

I think it all looks great except for the pizza, as well. If you are pizza lovers, than I suggest you skip pizza in WDW altogether. It's just :scared: . The rest of your list sounds wonderful to me!

Thanks, We were going to do Pizza Planet just because we thought the kids would like it. Now we may reconsider.

I would personally like to try Yak and Yeti too, but I've read mostly negative reviews since it opened. You might consider eating at a resort on your first night instead of in the parks.

Actually we've done Pizza Planet for the kids, and it's not that bad, IMO. You get a lot of food! BTW, the inside of the restaurant does not look like in the movie, although they do have an arcade.

We've done Mickey's Backyard BBQ but not Hoop DeeDoo. The Backyard BBQ was fun. It was crowded though. But the kids got to dance with Mickey and Minnie, so they were excited. The food was ok. Standard BBQ fare, burgers, baked beans, watermelon, and I can't seem to remember what else right at the moment.

I'd eliminate Tony's and replace it with a character meal. My kids love Chef Mickey's and insist upon it every trip. Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends is fun too. I just find Tony's to be mediocre Italian, and when there are Italian restaurants all over the universe, there's no need for me to have such a meal in Disney. We do Disney specific fun restaurants when we're there. 'Ohana over at the Polynesian is also a favorite of ours, and with a larger group, it's fun too.

we have done the HOOP DE DOO TWICE AND WE ALWAYS HAVE FUN THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD TO. LE CELLIER IS OUR FAVORITE!! YOUR GANNA LOVE IT! ON THE DAY YOU GO TO MGM WHY DONT YOU CONSIDER THE FANTASMIC PACKAGE AND DINE AT A RESTAURANT IN THE PARK THEN GO SEE THE SHOW ITS FUN

I have heard the FANTASMIC is not great for young kids, maybe a bit scary?

We are doing a character breakfast one morning and between that and the Backyard BBQ that is 3TS credits per person

'Ohana over at the Polynesian is also a favorite of ours
We considered Ohana's but we having been finding a ton of restaurant in Disney have similar menu...BBQ chicken, ribs, smokey ect. So we are trying to keep some diversity to our meals

I've done both the MBYBBQ and HDD and I have a 10, 4, and 3 yo... In the HDD there is all sitting.... In MBYBBQ there is lots and lots of interaction... Kids get up and dance and can run around more freely.. I guess it depends if your kids can sit for awhile or not.. Mine for one can NOT..... All the others sound good... Have a great trip..

I love Cosmic Ray's for a counter service at MK. However, if you haven't eaten there before, there are 3 different sets of counter windows and each set has a different list of items. So if one person wants a burger and another wants chicken, you will have to stand in 2 lines.

That being said, I love to eat there and absolutely adore the fixin's bar.

Now we all Love the pizza there... I guess its a personal opinion on this one.. I eat there every year we go...
