I think we'll be in Epcot on Thanksgiving evening. Anyone have suggestions on where to have dinner that night that would include some traditional food?

kpgclark - Good question. My group, too, will be in Epcot TG day and are looking for a good - somewhat traditional - place to eat for lunch or dinner. Right now we're thinking about trying the Garden Grill in The Land, but we also are contemplating hopping over to The Contemporary to try The California Grill. We've not eaten at either of the restaurants personally, but have seen/heard good reviews on them. I'll be interested to hear other opinions...

Last Thanksgiving we ate at the CApe May Buffet in the BC resort. You can easily take the boat or walk from EPCOT. They had all the traditional thanksgiving foods plus some seafood. We did DTD & swam on thanksgiving. We stayed a way from the parks.

I can't say if any Epcot restaurants have traditional fare at Thanksgiving. I can say that whatever you decide make a PS as soon as possible. Cape May has already been suggested, The Yachtsman Steakhouse (at YC/BC) also has a Thanksgiving dinner, they offer traditional food as well as a few non-traditional items on a special menu. The Swan & Dolphin have traditional Thanksgiving dinners - they are in the conference facilities, so I can only imagine that if you are looking for a little atmosphere in addition to the turkey & dressing you probably won't find it there. There are probably others as well but these are the ones I am aware of. Don't forget PS as soon as you possibly can or you may wind up with a turkey leg at MK (not a bad option, just probably not what you're looking for). Good Luck!

We have eaten a the Garden Grill 3 times in the last year. YUM!! The food is excellent and great character interaction.

We were in WDW for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. We made PS for the Flying Fish for Thanksgiving dinner. FF offered the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings - I had that and it was delicious. You can order off their regular menu, too, The restaurant and wait staff was very accomodating and gracious. There were 14 of us and we had a large table at the back of the restaurant that seated all of us rather than splitting us up among 2 tables.

We had Thanksgiving dinner over at 50's Prime Time (MGM) last year. They had a turkey plate special which was really good - and you get the entertainment from the hostesses too. I thought it was a good value. Take the boat ride from Epcot and enjoy!

We went to the California Grill Thanksgiving 2002... and paid over $100 for 2 people!!!!!!! Worth it?? NO!!. $45 a person. My daughter doesn't eat turkey, so she ended up with Goat Cheese Ravioli and a gross salad.. don't know what kind of dressing they put on it, but it was unedible to us. I did get the turkey dinner. I had water, my daughter had a glass of the house champagne and a sprite...

Totally overpriced. I'd suggest finding a buffet... On the way back to the airport, our limo driver said he had gone to a buffet (at I believe it was the Wilderness Lodge) and had a great meal and for A LOT less than what we had paid......

CG had a limited menu because it was Thanksgiving... If we go again at Thanksgiving time, I will definitely go to a buffet, NOT CG.

Good Luck!

We will be at WDW during Thanksgiving also. When I went to the restaurant site it listed the following restaurants serving special menus for Thanksgiving: Epcot - Akershus, Alfredo's, Biergarten, Coral Reef, Le Cellier (that is where we are eating - not rated great but I have always found the food delicious) and the Rose and Crown Pub. Hope this helps. Have a great trip.

Which restaurant site? Do you mean wdwig.com? I thought she only had last year's menus.
