Need EASY/cheap circus animal costume for child

I'm way early, but if don't start thinking now, I may never get there.

My DS' school will be having Circus Day in October, and he will need a costume. Last year we just bought him a tiger mask, but I'd like to do a little better this year. I don't want to spend a ton of money, and it won't be a Halloween costume.

I don't sew, DH grandma does, but I hate to ask her.

Any easy/cheap ideas???

I usually start with a sweatsuit and go from there... here are some good ones!
