Need Downtown Toronto info

A question for you Torontonians out there - is the Downtown Marriott Eaton Centre within walking distance to the Princess of Wales theatre? This will be in June (warm weather). Have tics to Lord of the Rings, want to stay downtown but don't want to figure out the subway!

Yes - it's a nice walk down King street! Will take roughly 20 minutes on foot. Enjoy!

It's walkable, especially in June. You're basically walking from Nathan Philips Square.

I've walked from farther than that.

if you want a hotel close to the theatre, you should try the Holiday Inn on King. If you are a Holiday Inn Priority customer (its free to sign up) you get an upgrade, access to the office (free candy, water, internet, business machines, and papers). The roof top pool is just amazing. I live just north of TO but when I go downtown for the night, I usually get a room there so I don't have to worry about driving home. Rooms are nice, great service.

If it is raining you would be able to travel the Path underground (under the office towers) system almost the whole distance from hotel to the theatre.
