Need construction paper...

For school, I need to make an exhibit board on the Day the Music Died.

I have a trifold board thing that's black, but I was thinking of using mint green and pastel pink construction paper for the border of pictures and other things.

My mom said we should try Michaels to find some. Do you know if they have it there?

They have construction paper everywhere even target, wal mart etc. I don't see why michael's wouldn't have it. I have brought it from joann's before and they are pretty much the same store!

I didn't know if Target would have it because mint green and pastel pink aren't really that common of colors.

Staples and WalMart have packs of card stock in various colors. We've gotten pastel packs before...I think at WalMart.

Card stock is sturdier than construction paper, and plus you can put it through the printer if you want to.

Pastel construction paper might be harder to find than the primary colors. Since you're thinking about going to Michaels, check out the scrapbooking section and look at the card stock selection. Like Barb D said, you can buy multicolor packs in pastel colors and have the mint green and pink you want to use. You might want to check out the stickers too for '50s and Rock n Roll themes.

Are you looking for paper size construction paper... or something big enough to cover the black? All the posts here are corrects about where to buy regular construction and scrapping paper. If you are looking to cover the black, you'll need larger stock. Where I live there are a number of places to get that. They sell it on big rolls, and you buy it by the yard. ANother idea that might work better for you since you want specific non-trad colors... think gift wrapping paper! You could do an awesome project by stating with a really cool paper, then get coordinating paper from the scrapping dept. to make layers. Sounds like fun! bye bye miss american pie!
