Ok so until 2 hours ago I was set on my color scheme...I am in white, my MOH was going to be in a teal dress, the groom in a black tux with teal vest/tie combo, and our "Bestie" (my niece, our replacement for best man) is going to be in black capris with a white tuxedo shirt w/vest and tie to match the groom. This will be accented by yellow or orange lilies with a pink ribbon for myself and MOH, and a boutonnière/hair flower for the others......So main color teal with Yellow/orange flowers with pink ribbons...I like things bright...

Then my MOH shows me this dress, which we both prefer in yellow over the teal:

Yellow Dress

So I am not switching the vest and tie combos to yellow as that would look ridiculous IMO, so would it look bad to have the MOH dress in bright yellow, the vest and ties in teal, with pink/yellow lilies with a teal ribbon? Or will that look like a mismatched bridal party?

HELP - I am so bad at this!

Actually, I think that sounds really nice, especially if you like bright! Teal and bright yellow was a favourite colour combination of mine.

I think you can totally make it work if you take the "jewel tones" theme and run with it. Add some yellow to flowers, and maybe give her something with another color (jewel tone) to tie it together. You might want to consider have one or two groomsmen change their color tie or vest, - if you dont like yellow- maybe the pink you mentioned. I think if you tie it all in together, it wont look like an accident.

Check out Carrie's (Lurkyloo) pictures. She had several bright colors throughout her wedding- and it was amazing. Maybe the pics can give you some inspiration!

Thanks Ladies - this was a help - sometimes we just need some reassurance :) I think if she wore it with an awesome pair of teal sandals it would help to pull it all together too!

Oh yeah that totally will look nice since it's all the same colors just arrange differently. I like it; plus the teal sandals sound like fun with it too. I had a issue with colors too. My colors for my wedding are deep red, brunt orange, and golden yellow. My MOH is going to wear the brunt orange with mostly red flowers to carry and my bridesmaids are going to wear deep red with orange and yellow flowers. It will look great no matter what you do. :goodvibes:goodvibes
