Ok, I know the codes are coming out on the 9th. My question is do the same codes come out for the same hotels every year? To use codes do I have to book through Disney? Has anyone ever found a better deal than the codes, using another source? If I book a hotel for May 05 and codes come out for the hotel I picked can I apply the codes if its a better deal than I booked? What is a good phone number to use when you make your ressie? I never used codes before and would like any info anyone can give me.

TIA

No.

No, you can book through a travel agent.

I haven't.

Usually can't just "apply" the discount code, you usually have to rebook.
What is a good phone number to use when you make your ressie?
407-934-7639 ~:D~

Thanks SuzyQue,

Ok, So if I book a room at a moderate hotel, let's say for $ 144.00 a night for 2005 and codes come out for that hotel the time I will be staying, can I appy the code to my ressie or do I have to make a new ressie?

Sometimes you can apply the code to your existing ressie. Sometimes you need to rebook. It depends on what the existing reservation is and what the code is.

How's that for no useful information?

Beth

Thanks bethbuchall , I guess that does clear up some things for me. I think....lol

I use to go ahead and make my ressie about a year ahead of time, then if a code came out, I would call and make a new ressie using the code (making sure something was available), then hang up and call back and cancel my original ressie. With all the info they have on you now when you call to book, I don't know if you can still do that. Sometimes the codes wouldn't come out until right before our trip and I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to get the resort or time period I wanted, that's why I always made the first ressie ~:D~

I used the Disney Visa code for June. I could not apply it to my existing ressie, but was able to make a new one and cancel the old one in one phone call. On our last trip, I had to switch resorts in order to use a code- there was no availability at the resort that I had booked originally.

I just made a reservation for PO in May. I used a AAA discount. I asked the Disney agent when I made the reservation if I could get a lower rate with this reservation when new codes came out 3/9. She said she had no knowledge of any new codes. I rephrased my question to ask if by chance any new codes came out in next week or so did I have to make new reservation with code or just adjust existing reservation. She said can keep existing reservation and it will be adjusted to code discount if available.

Asked specifically for room only reservation, downpayment ( I guess as opposed to balance, need to check that) due in two weeks.

By the way, wasn't there a big discussion several years ago about change is reservation process that would have required instant downpayment or full room payment at time of booking? Seemed like there were dozens of messages about how dare Disney do this, but they seemed to back off changes I guess.
