I am still using the little squares for my adhesives and am wondering about an ATG glue/tape gun?
Is this still what alot of you are using? Could anyone plaese tell me about these and are they worth the investment? I looked them up and if they are by Scotch I do trust the brand.
I will be going to CKC in early April and I know that idf Im going to order one I will need to do it soon.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
Rita

I love my ATG...a bit expense to start, but so worth it to me, I used a 40% coupon at Mikes to get mine... great since you're not having to reload you adhesive as much!

I finally broke down and bought one. I got tired of running out of tape in the middle of the night, LOL.
I like it, it's not to heavy or big in my hand.
I buy the refills at Michael's, just make sure you get the acid free one, not the general purpose. And 2 rolls come on a box.
There is a small learning curve on loading the tape but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Hi, Rita! :wave2: Long time, no type to!

I was the LAST person to think I'd get an ATG (used to laugh at TinkerBean all the time about hers), but now I would never, ever go back to the Tombos and other tape-type thingies I had been using.

Love my ATGs - yep, plural (and I have little hands - and glued a bazillion rhinestones to one of them which adds a bit of weight, but I don't care). We get our tape online at the Tape Depot and usually split orders among other scrappy friends so it is only about $1.20 a roll for the 1/4" tape. You can get the ATGs via Amazon, too, usually for a good price - we got one of ours that way.

Good luck and hugs to you and the fam -
Pam

I love my ATG and it saves so much money in the long run it is worth the investment. I too purchased mine with a coupon so it ended up being about $25. I always buy my refills at framing supply stores on-line or on e-bay because they are a lot cheaper than I can find in the stores.

Another ATG fan! I got mine at M's on Thanksgiving. It was half off and then an additional 30% with coupon. Ended up being about $13. Totally worth the cost and refills aren't bad either with coupon.

I love using it, but I am pretty flexible with my adhesive collection. I keep a supply of squares, liquid, and even Tombow. Depends on my project as to what I will actually use.

I use a glue glider pro- they are a bit smaller than an ATG but the refills are more expensive. I love using it though and I love being able to change the type of adhesive quickly. I still find it to be less expensive than tombow and such. I normally stock up when someone has the refills on sale.

LOVE my ATG (1/2 inch tape) and hated my glue glider (1/4" tape) because the 'angle of attack' was different. I ended up giving the latter away. I too, get my tape from the tape depot, by the box of 12. The tape I buy is NOT scotch, but I like it real well. If you get any stray tape because you didn't tape straight, it rolls right off by rubbing with a finger.

I LOVE my ATG. I get my tape from FindTape or Tape Depot. As someone else said, it's not the Scotch brand, but I like it just as well.

I got my gun during a promo during Breast Cancer Awareness month....it was pink. I paid $29 for it.

Ladies, thank you so much for the advice!
It looks as though I will be searching for a 50% coupon!
Hopefully one before April 13th, CKC Mesa.
